Hi, we are booked with free dining for Nov 19-25. The plan was to drive down on the 19th, arriving in the early evening. I just learned today that there is an important work meeting on Nov 19 and we will be unable to leave until 4:30 pm. Nov 19 is the last day of free dining before Thanksgiving. What time do we need to checkin by? Please don't say midnight....

Thanks!

if you have a vacation package that includes free dining then you have free dining.
not sure why you think that just because you arrive after midnight they would cancel your free dining discount. your reservation starts on the 19th so thats what they go by.
besides you can check in online 60 days prior which i would definitely recommend you do since you will be arriving so late. that way you can just head straight to your room that will be texted or emailed to you.

Definitely call in advance and have them note your late arrival. In addition, when you do online check-in, you can note your arrival time. Online check-in doesn't hold your room infinitely - night audit at the resort will begin processing "no shows" and cancelling them out of the system at some point around 2-3am and must be finished by 6am. If your reservation is properly noted with your arrival time, you shouldn't have a problem.

One trip we had car trouble and did not arrive til 4AM and there were no issues. Before they rollover the computer system at night, they print out all the room packets of all the guests that have not yet arrived.

I suggest using online check-in and with any luck they will text you your room # before you arrive.

As a pp said, the computers don't roll over until 6 am, so as long as you check in prior to 6 am on the 20th, you will be fine. After midnight is technically the next day, but it's considered the current day as far as your reservation is concerned. With that said, if it would give you peace of mind, you can have your late arrival noted on your reservation as others have suggested.
