What time does guest services open so we can check in early, leave our bags, and go to theme parks?

I believe it is always open. You can check in, get your room keys and head to the parks. They will not tell you your room number until it is cleaned. You can even call from a phone at the parks to find out the number and head straight to your room off the buses.

Guest services must not always be open. I don't recall seeing them open when we stayed there in May (but we are the resort very little). They were never open when we needed them.
However, there was always CM's that handled everything at the check in area.

We checked in after 4:00, but were in a rush due to a delayed flight and Mystery dinner tickets
We checked in and left our luggage, without going to the room.
We had a hard time getting anyone to accept our luggage because the CM in the luggage area was apparently too busy leaning against the doorway doing nothing. But we finally were able to drop off our luggage with another CM by valet parking.
Make sure you get a ticket showing how many pieces you are leaving. Guests normally get this, but I had to request one. And still didn't feel comfortable about it, esp since it was scrawled on the back of a piece of scratch paper.

Don't know how early you're getting there, but we've checked in around noon-1:00 3 times at POR and room has always been ready.

You can check in anytime. The front desk is always open. And, I think the bell person spot (at the entrance to the resort) is also always staffed. But, if there isn't anyone there...you can check as you walk in the main entrance then you can request at the front desk for someone to take your bags and store them. They should be more than happy to help you. We've checked in as late as midnight and there has always been someone to take our bags. If in doubt, before you leave call the resort and ask. They should be able to give you specific instructions.

The front desk is always open, but I believe Guest Services gets there about 7 am, and there is someone there until 11 pm.

I know no one was at Guest Services as late as 11:00 on at least two nights we were there. We were there eariler than 11:00 on two nights and it was closed. But someone is always at check-in.
The only problem you might find is the same DH had -- he had to stand in a long line with those checking in late.
We asked at check-in about leaving our bags and were told we had to go outside for that. So you may encounter that too.

If you do check in early & leave your bags...then when you come back, will they have taken your luggage to your room? Or do you go back to the desk & claim it and take it to your room yourself?
