check-in time at BWV

We will staying at BWV soon. Our flight gets to MCO at about 10:00 a.m. We're taking a town car with a grocery stop included. If we get to BWV by 11:00/11:30, what are our chances of being able to check into our room? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Well, you'll be able to check-in, but it's no guarantee your room will be available; alot depends on the season and the day you're checking in. You can check-in and if your room's not ready, give luggage to bell services and they'll give you a phone# to call later to see if your room's available. I usually travel in off-peak seasons(early Feb,early May,early Dec)and have been fortunate to have my room ready at 8AM about half the time. If it's not, we just go to the park and by mid-afternoon call to see if our room's ready. Only once has my room not been ready before 4PM(which is the check-in time for the villas, I believe).

The official check-in time for the DVC villas is "after 4:00 PM".

I've stayed at BWV many times. It's hard to get a room ready early, usually 2:00 or 3:00. They usually pre-assign rooms, so it depends on when the person who used the room the night before left. Checkout is not until 11:00am.

I've stayed at the BWV 3 times over the past year and I've never gotten my room before 3:00PM. I've always checked in early and gotten my room key, but have never had good luck in the room being ready early. Actually our last visit, May 07, it wasn't until after 4:00PM until it was ready. Good luck, but count on it not being ready until the afternoon.

We always make a grocery run on our way to BWV. Our room has never been ready at check in. It has only been ready at the 4:00 timeframe once. We have left our groceries w/bell services and asked them to place the groceries in a refrigerator. It has never been a problem. Once you are checked into your room, just ring bell services and they will bring your groceries up. Our second trip was for 2 weeks and we had enough groceries for 3 meals a day for 5 of us. It was still no problem. What limo service are you using? We used FLTours in January. They had a very helpful list of the breakdown of the Publix store that they dropped us at for our grocery run. I was able to write up my grocery list row by row. It proved to be a big help when shopping in a store that I wasn't familiar with. The list was on their website, and I was able to just download and print it. The BWV tends to be very busy and sometimes I think that people may be checking out late. For whatever reason, twice our rooms weren't clean when we got to them. When we saw what a fabulous location we had,however, we did not want to move. We just left for an hour or so and let mousekeeping to it. The mousekeepers here are very accomodating. By the way, there are no spices in the kitchens. I think they empty out whatever is left behind for safety reasons. I have a set of small spice containers that I have in a zip-lock that I leave in my suitcase for traveling. Happy planning! Ed

We stayed at BWV at the beginning of April 2006. We were driving up from a condo at St Pete's beach and arrived at check in about 11.15 am. We didn't expect our room to be ready and were prepared to leave our bags with bell services and go to Epcot for a few hours while we waited, but happily our villa was available and we got in right away. I can't remember the room number, but it was on the top floor overlooking the main pool area with two balconies and a great view of the Swan and Dolphin!

So you never know, you may be as lucky as us!

Wow, must have been a fluke - but we checked into the BWVs early 2 times. Had a flight arrive around the same time as yours. We arrived at the BW b/t 12-1pm. Checked in early, no problem. I had requested rooms near the elevator. Maybe that made a difference?
