We are planning on arriving in the morning and taking Tiffany's to the ASMv with a grocery store stop. Will the resort properly store our perishable groceries like milk and sandwhich meat?

I've never asked if they refrigerate stuff.........

In those situations, we buy a styrofoam cooler (or bring softsided cooler of our own) and buy a bag of ice along with the groceries. Then pack the perishables on ice right at the grocery checkout. Then they store your cooler and the non-perishables right on the luggage cart with your other stuff. When we did this last January, the stryrofoam cooler was less than $3 at the grocery store we stopped at. Then we can use it all through our stay replenishing it with ice from the hotel, and just leave it when we go.

Milk, yogurt, and meat will survive even if the ice packing melts and they warm up close to room temperature for a short while, but if that happens, try to finish the warmest items quickly.

You will want to figure out some way to keep wrapped but unsealed items from getting submerged in the ice melt.

Ice cream and frozen goods will probably NOT SURVIVE.

At the All Stars, luggage awaiting check in and luggage after check out often sits outside in small trailers. There it can get mighty hot.

Last year at CBR they took our grocery bags and put them in a refrigerator!!!!!

I had assumed all the resorts would have that available as all the resorts DO rent you a refrigerator and your arrival time and check in time do not always mesh up together....anyone?

We arrived at AKL last Monday around 10 am and our room wasn't ready. We hadn't gotten groceries, but I had medicine that needed to be refrigerated for my baby. Since we weren't planning on being back at the hotel until evening, I asked at checkin if they could store her medicine. They put it in a refrigerator in the back. If there are a lot of groceries I don't know if that'll work.

well the room refrigerators are pretty small so if you have a lot of groceries they won't fit when they get to your room.

I second the styrofoam cooler notion. If you are worried about things getting soggy when the ice melts put them in a ziplock bag first.

that's a really good idea about the stryo cooler. Last year we had a collapsible cooler and it leaked a little.
