Last time we went to WDW we stayed concierge and had purchased our Hoppers ahead of time so had them in hand.

This time we are staying at POR and puchased the MYW package with the free dining.

What I am wondering is, when we arrive at POR (probably around 11am) wat will happen? We go up to the check-in and they give us KTTW cards and park passes? Should I get something in the mail ahead of time? I don't want to end up at POR missing some vital piece of information!

2 weeks or so prior to your arrival date, you should get something from Disney confirming your stay at POR, etc. We always bring the letter with us, but it never seemed necessary.

When you get there, you will be given key cards that will also be your park tickets, if you choose to have it done that way. Fewer things to carry around is the way I prefer it. Your room will probably not be ready at 11 AM (it could be but I wouldn't count on it). If it's not ready, they'll still give you the key cards so you can go to the parks or whatever. Your room should be ready by mid-afternoon. You can call the front desk at POR to find out your room number and go straight there at that point, and bell services will deliver your luggage.

If you don't get that confirmation package in the mail about 2 weeks prior to check-in, I'd probably call CRO to find out what's going on.

When you check in, they will go ahead and code your keycards for your room but will not tell you the room number. So everything else should be coded on there, too. Then, after check-in time, you call the number that they give you and they will tell you your room number. No need to stop back at the front desk!

After we paid the package off (45 days beofre our trip) we received a package that include a hotel voucher, confirmation letter stating again what I bought and for whom, plus luggage tags. 2 weeks ago I added another night within the week I got another package with the updated information plus more luggage tags. The voucher said I needed to present it upon check-in and since this is my first package I am not sure if you have to have it. I would suggest calling CRO and asking them to send out your pack again.

Good Luck

Thanks for the info!

Just one question about the KTTW card being the Park media: How does that work?? When we had the hoppers we slid them through the machine at the entrance turnstiles. Is there a 'cardswipe' machine there too? Would we then just swipe the card? And just to be sure - we are talking about the hard plastic card with a picture of Tink or whatever on the front and a magnetic strip on the back right? Thanks!! :goodvibes

The KTTK card will go through the same way your hopper did - only now they have the biometric finger thing too.

Looks just like a plastic credit card. Goes through the reader like any other ticket. And it is your dining card also. So they just swipe them at the restaurants. Whew! Lot of work for just one little card! LOL
