Check in procedure at Poly

This is a dumb question but....we are driving to WDW, staying at the Poly. What is the procedure for checking in? Do you park your car, walk in and go back for luggage? Do you take luggage in with you? Does everyone get a ride in the golf cart? Does everyone get a lei or only conceirge? THanks

do you want valet parking?

if you don't do the self parking - however first - drop off your luggage at bell services - then go around and park the car. If you want valet parking just leave the keys with bell services.

yes everyone (if you want too) gets to ride in the golf cart - when bells services takes your luggage to your room.

sometimes I have gotten a levi - sometime no - I think it the person is there you get one - if not - no...

When we checked in we did regular service, since we were in the longhouse right next to the main building we didnt get the golf cart tour. (I'm sure if I pouted they may have let me ride the golf cart?!!) The next day I went down and begged for a feather pillow, and noticed they had different color leis (we were given yellow, they had white) I commented on them, and she gave me one for each of us... she did say they had run out and they had no problem giving us more! (and btw I loved the feather pillow!!)

We parked at self park, checked in, but lucked out and our room was ready, a bellman picked us up at the entrance in a gof cart, drove to our car, loaded our bags, and took us straight to our room. We didn't carry a thing.

We stayed also in the building right next to the back door to Captain Jack's. But the bellman gave us the the cart tour of the place first. Drove over the walk to the TTC, around the pool and then to the marina before finally taking us to our building. I thought that was nice.
