Hi guys,
We are arriving in to Orlando on the first flight in the morning. We will hopefully then get to MCO by 8:30 and to our hotel by 9:30. Is this too early to check in? I know there is no chance we will be able to actually go to our room, but could we get our tickets and KTTW and hit the parks? Will there be some place for us to leave our bags?
I have never had the opportunity to start my first day as a "full day" before, we have always driven before! I know these are probably silly questions, but I just want to be prepared! Thanks,
~Abby

Absolutely!! When you arrive, you'll check in, regardless if your room is ready or not. They'll dazzle and excite you and then give you your KTTW and send you on your way. They'll store your bags for you and drop them in your room when its available...so likely when you return from a fun-filled first day, they'll be waiting for you in your room :) :woohoo:

Abby - You are in luck because you will be able to check in to the hotel when you arrive. Your room most likely wont be ready, but you will be able to receive your KTTW with your tickets and dining plan on it. They will usually give you a phone number to call to get your room number later in the day. And bell services will hold your bags until your room is ready. We do this almost every time we go to Disneyworld, so you should be all set to start enjoying your first full day at Disney the moment you arrive. Hope you have a great time.

If you're using ME to get from the airport to the hotel then your bags will magically appear in your room when it is ready, if not you'll have to call bell services to bring them up for you.

Just to add you might even get lucky & the room will be ready never know.:cloud9: Good luck & have fun! ;)
The last three times I checked in around 9:30am and the room(the one I wanted) was ready.:woohoo:

we plan to also arrive around 930 this coming trip, and will check in, have them store the luggage, then spend the day at the resort (food court, lounge by the pool, walk the grounds, relax) until the room is ready

now, if by some pixie dust :tink: the room is ready, we'll still stay at the resort, but will have the bonus of unpacking and settling in, too!

(the days of going off to a theme park or even DTD are behind us - after being up early for the flight, we instead spend our arrival day just transitioning at the resort - better for us!)

We love that you can check in and leave your bags and then enjoy the parks. We do this all the time. And whats even more wonderful is in most cases they're waiting in your room for you when you get back in the evening!

After all of the times we have stayed on the property, only once has our room not been ready. Every time we usually go is at the peak times of the year. Your room will be ready…Mickey told me.:cool1:

I think it depends how busy the resort is at at the time. We checked into Poly around noon and they had to hold our bags and did not get our room assignment until 4

We just came back from the YC, checked in before 11am and were able to get into our room right away

It just depends on how busy they are, as previously posted. We often arrive before 11am. Sometimes they have a room ready, sometimes they don't. But we always do a pre check-in, store our luggage with the bell captain, then go and enjoy the parks. I'd say around 80% of the time we get a call on our cell before 1pm letting us know our room is ready.

We stayed at ASMO last week, we got there around 1pm and checked in our room was ready!! I was suprised!
