I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to read through the thread, so maybe this has been covered but, are they notifying everyone before fed ex shows up?

I'd hate to come home from our trip next week to learn that I had missed the Fed Ex truck! How long do you have to respond?

I had an email from Ventura Associates asking me to verify my home address. This was on a Friday. I didn't get my FedEx until the next Tuesday, and had until that Friday to get it back to them.

By going in style, I meant not having to worry about how to pay for it, and not having to manage my money (as closely) while we are there.

The only way Disney doesn't have to spend money on the hotel, and can write it off, is for us to stay at Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel, or Grand Californian. Based on the pricing of the packages I have been looking at, I believe PP is probably the lower end, DH is the middle, and GC is primo.

My husband just called me to let me know he got the call!! I am in shock!!!! We will receive our packet tomorrow!!

This is such a blessing, we were trying to go this fall but we were having a hard time coming up with the money. You should have seen me jumping up and down in the office, woohoo!!

I'm sorry you are getting PM'd and the messages aren't nice. I think the concern is that there are 60 of these OMDD prizes, and your's technically isn't one of them, so there are still 30 more prizes to give away. It's like getting a Golden Ticket to tour Willy Wonka's factory, but unlike everyone following this thread, you didn't have to buy all the Scrumpdilitious bars to do it. Doesn't mean you don't get to lick the wallpaper, too!

I believe our prize package is thru the sponsor, Disney Online, so it would make it different. Nonetheless, you won, you get to go for free, and so it is very exciting. Are you doing the PhotoPass, the spa pkg, the $500 shopping spree, or the tours?

It sounds like you won the exact same prize that we did. We have the same choice of enhancements, the wording is the same and everything. It's just not technically the OMDD sweepstakes since you won it through a radio station. Who cares! It comes from Disney and that's all that matters. I'd just try to ignore those negative people trying to bring you down. I just don't get why some people have to ruin things for others.

I'm glad you found us on here so we can compare how things are working. If we hear from Disney first, then you'll have an idea how the prize package is going to work, and vice versa. I think it's awesome!

skhermsmeyer, why not just contact the radio station and ask them what the official name of the contest is?

Your win could have the same components as OMDD, however, be a contest set up exclusively between DD and the ATL radio station.

The only official way to enter the official OMDD contest is via email on the website or text...not through a radio station. Therefore according to the OMDD rules, you are not an actual OMDD winner as your signature implies, but rather a Disney trip winner via a radio station who gave out a similar trip sponsored by DD.

Nevertheless, you STILL won a great trip, congrats!
