So I walked in the door from work tonight and DH asks me if I'm expecting a FedEx package. What? I screamed "No" where is it! Then he said FedEx left a message with a tracking number because I have to sign for it. What? That's not how it works! I seriously could not think of a single thing coming FedEx so I excitedly typed in the tracking number. Yes! It's from Disney! Darn, it's the $40 gift card I got for previewing DVC online I'm so bummed! But happy for all the Disers!

That is so funny! I had had a message from fed ex also and when I looked it up it is from DVC. I've actually been wondering where that darn card was since we are leaving in 3 wks for Disney so I'm glad it's here. But my heart skipped a beat when the fedex guy said the word "Disney"

Our last trip to Disney World was last Halloween. We camp at Fort Wilderness in our travel trailer and make all of our own meals, maybe eating out once. It's the only way we can do it relatively cheap and go a couple of times a year. I'm planning on taking our boys tent camping next month for the President's Day weekend for the first time. I really wanted to go to WDW and this was the cheapest way, but I may regret that one if it gets cold or rains or I can't get the tents up myself!

We're planning on going to Disneyworld with this trip because we've never been there and this is the only way we'd be able to afford it. It will be so strange for us to eat every meal in Disney restaurants.

I am so happy for all of you winners. I can't believe how many DISers are winning! Hopefully this trend will continue as we have another whole month to win.
I am at work until late afternoon and was nervous during the first week that someone would need to be home to sign for Fedex. Now I feel sorry for you folks who are home and obsessing about this all day. I only have one obsessive moment when I arrive home from work and check the front door.

I love reading about all the winners! I have registered just about everyday, but no emails from Ventura. We would love to visit Disneyland.

They did, actually. We paid for 3 extra nights at Grand Floridian. We were charged about $700 and they kept us in the theme park view we had been in for the first 4 nights (the prize that we won).

Oh, sweet! Great price! I bet you had a marvelous time. Did you write a trip report by any chance? I always wondered what some differences would be on "won trips" vs. the regular family vacation.

I have another question, lol. Do you remember if they told you ahead of time that you would get a discount on your extended stay resort or did you go there expecting to pay full price for the extra days at GF and were pleasantly surprised by the discount? Thanks!

Really not happy with the email notification system. Especially if it's going to junk mail. I "skim" what's in my junk folder, so the odds of me missing a notification are very high.

My info is updated on my Disney profile. If they have your address on file, I wonder if a non-response to their email means a disqualification?

I'm being more careful to check from now on, but geez wish I'd known this was coming from another company and possibly being sent to junk mail. This sweepstakes is going to be the death of me

I didn't write a trip report, sorry. I got an email saying I won, I sent in the affidavit and then someone called me on the phone a while later telling me I had a year to use the trip and asking when I'd like to take it. This was in early October of '08. I had a trip I was taking in late Oct. '08, but they wouldn't let me use it for that. When I told them I couldn't take it until the following summer ('09), they said they'd contact me again as they had others that wanted to go before that. I asked her at that time about extending my stay and she told me that I could and they would discount the rate if I stayed in the same hotel. They didn't tell me what hotel I'd be staying at, but the prize terms were their choice of hotel. Just lucked out that it was GF. They didn't put me in a theme park view. But we got some pixie dust when we checked in and they upgraded us and then let us stay in same room for whole trip. They called to finalize all the arrangements in about May and the trip was in beginning of July, so between 45 - 60 days before the departure date it was finalized. My only complaint was that they flew us on Delta and we had to pay for our bags to be checked

My last trip was in 2009. We were not planning another trip till 2015 so this is a huge blessing for us.

We normally never win anything... from school raffles, lottery, any web-site entries or never have ever gotten a PIN code. So we hope everyone who wins has a blast and have a Mickey ice cream bar in honor of everyone like us, who never win.

We only have received a $40 WDW gift certificate for doing a DVC survey.

Now another FedEx package is coming to our home tomorrow...
I think another $40 WDW gift certicate is the FedEx 1/2 pound pkg.
It says the pkg is from GC INCENTIVE, dept: 19756-DISVIS40
The same place (not sure of the dept) where the 1st $40 gift certiciate came from.

I am not sure why we would get two $40 gift certificates.
If it is in error, we will return one - we only did one DVC survey, so we only earn one $40 WDW gift certicate, not two.
So I will call the number associated with the next package.

We are honest people and do not keep what does not rightfully belongs to us.

Are you a new Disney Visa Card holder? Your code looks to me like it is the $40 gc promo they recently offered to people signing up for the card. (Of course, now they are promoing $100 gc for new sign ups.)

I tried to return a toy last Christmas that was sent in error by the Disney store (sent me two when I only ordered and paid for one). They didn't want me to return it as it was their mistake, and asked me to donate it to Toys for Tots or something similar. Maybe if your second gc is a mistake, they will let you keep it. That would be nice! And you still get to sleep well at night.

I enter every day - my parents are taking DH, me and my brother to WDW at the end of this year to celebrate my mom's retirement, and this would be such an amazing "gift" to her if we could use this for our family trip. Go to www.disneyworld.com and log on there with your Disney account name. Then go to your account profile and there will be places to add in ALL your contact info. The websites are all interconnected so if they have your info on one, they have it on all of them.
