So, I found the scrolling "Sweepstakes Winners" section on http://disney.go.com/memories/, but there are only 4 names posted. I find it very nervewracking that it seems like someone could win and not know it!

Second, please forgive me if someone else brought this up. I tried to skim the posts, but I might have missed it. Long thread!

Has anyone else been getting error messages? When I try to enter online, site says "entering," and then instead of getting the "You have been entered" confirmation, I get "error [next line] response for not defined in xml." I can't tell if the error is in the entering process or the confirmation screen. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there any technologically savvy people who know what the problem is?

I never answer phone numbers that I don't know because I don't give out my cell.
But.
If someone calls with the ID Ventura "anything" I'll drop everything! to get it.
Or with a 212 area code (Ventura Associates).
Just told my DH he better answer all calls and give his address to anyone who asks!

We'll be in WDW in February for 8 days and that has crossed my mind as well. The only issue with that is even if you have someone check your mail every day, you have 1 day to complete the affidavit and send it back. So if there's a notification from Fedex that they tried to reach you, your neighbor or whomever else can't go pick up the letter from Fedex. Or let's say they deliver the letter to your home without actually making sure you're home. How are you supposed to get the affidavit to FL, find a notary and Fedex it back all within one day?
I think I would rather not know until I came back that I would have been a winner, you'll end up spoiling the rest of your vacation knowing you could've won, but because of logistics and timing, you missed out.

I got mine on Monday - it had to be returned by Wed at 3pm - and there was an overnight slip - so I really had 2 days to send it in...

HOWEVER - in the letter it gave me a number to call in case I wasn't going to be able to return in time - so by that I would assume if you have someone pick it up for you = they could open it and give you the number to call so you could explain.....

IMO - I would assume that those that are listed are ones that have sent their paperwork back in - and have been confirmed winners

I did every single day including the day I received notification (I had already entered before I got it) However once I got notification I stopped

Under the screen with clips of celebrities saying what they would do with OMDD, there was two smaller boxes below. The first has a picture of Cinderella and a young girl. The second displays sweepstakes winners.

You're welcome! I looked at the page quite a few times before I noticed it.

Try a different browser. Unfortunately, Disney's websites are really built for Internet Explorer, so sometimes they are glitchy in Firefox, Chrome or Safari. So if you're using one of those, switch to a different one and try your luck that way. I've had random problems entering through Chrome, and switching over usually works.

I don't have IE on my computer, but I switched from Firefox to Safari. Everything worked just fine! Thanks!

The last time I txted i got a response that said something like "Congratulations, you are entered to the OMDD contest." Today when I txted my response was just "Check out Disney online for all things Disney". What does that mean? Did I enter? What response did all you texters get?

I looked again and I had txted "Disney Day" ( with a space). I tried it again deciding I'd rather disqualfy myself than not be entered at all! The second time I got the "Congratulations" note, so I guess they are just picky about the entry!

i have been reading this thread for approx 3 hours now i would like to say congrats to the winner(s)

i would also like to say i am now going to the official disney website and changing my address because all the different ways to be notified i am completely paranoid . i have been entering through texts only. the only problem with this is i hope disney calls from a 407 area code. i have a problem with phone solicitors and usually do not answer calls from numbers i do not know. so i guess i am going to have to start answering those calls now.

also i would like to say i think i will be a new fan of www.online-sweepstakes with the lucky people who have won stuff from that site on here the odds seem pretty good

I would like to also know if husband and wife are safe to enter. Seems like rules are usually clearer on that.

Now the below is interesting
If your one of those spoiled 20somethings still on Mom and Dad's cell plan and win a trip via text -its the person paying the bill who wins

So I have a question- does anyone know how picky Disney is with the winners getting info and signing it all right away?? My odds are just as good as anyone else at winning. Been entering everyday. However, the hubby and I going on a 4 day vacation to Vegas in Feb. I will have computer and cell with me, but will obviously not be home. Just curious if anyone knows if you would be forfeited from winning if you were not at your place of residence immediately??? Pretty darn sure I won't be winning a thing, LOL, but just curious as to what Disney does in these circumstances....
