Hi all!
We're headed on our first trip since having kids to WDW in 2 weeks (YAY! EEK!). My DD(3) has a reservation at the BBB for the evening that we arrive, so I am surprising her with a brand new Cinderella dress upon check-in.

Any ideas for a gift for my DS(5) upon check-in? He doesn't really love to dress up, and when he does, he likes dressing up in his astronaut or knight costumes that he already has. He's not into pirates, and POTC ride will be closed when we're there anyway. He loves Miles from Tomorrowland, Planes, Cars, and Toy Story. Any ideas for him? Maybe just an autograph book and a pen? (Though, it looks like the autographs books on Amazon cost more than at the WDW parks). Any other suggestions?

We have ordered from a lady that does Gift Baskets and has them ready in the room upon arrival. For our kids we did the car racers, an autograph book and pin and a beginner pin trading set. They loved it!

How about a Buzz Lightyear costume and autograph book, take him to the meet n greet?

could you share more about this please? I would be interested in learning more

I just bought my three year old son a Miles costume. He wears it nonstop now. Figure I'll take it with us when we go to the parks.

They have Disney Parks items on DisneyStore.com. How about some Buzz gloves and a meet and greet in Tomorrowland? You can get autograph books on DisneyStore.com as well.

They also have a "knights" package at BBB. My DS did this when he was 5. They gel the boys hair and put confetti in it and then give the boys a sword - it was about $15 which was quite the bargain at BBB!

How about a hat? My son *had* to have in 100° August temps the light up sorcerer hat and wore it with sweat beads on his hair line.

Or how about a Lego set or a box of potato head parts.

I would get him a pin trading set - lanyard and some pins. I think that is a good age to start. I like costumes and all but they take up so much space in the luggage and can be really hot. Not sure where you are staying - but they usually have the lanyards and pins in the hotels. I know that you can also order some online at the store.

Check out Ship the Magic - we had them purchase a costume ahead of time, and it was waiting in our room when we got there. they charge a 20% fee of whatever you purchase. They wrote a little note from the character as well. My daughter was thrilled. I'm not sure what Miles stuff they have at the parks, but I bet they would go to a regular Disney Store for some of the above suggestions.
