check in - free dinning

heard difference things from difference people.

my brother and I are arriving separately. He and his family will be their first. do they have to wait until I arrive to check in and get the tickets and free dinning - or not?

I checked in hours before the rest of my party had even landed. I checked in the entire party and the CMS held their keys at the front desk. When they arrived via ME they just went to Concierge and picked them up.

Not really. The ressie was under my name so I took care of everything when I checked in. But the CM told me that if it had been the other way around, they could check in with ID that matched the information on the reservation. They could get room keys and DDP credits but they could not get charging privledges. Only the person who's name the reservation is in can delegate that. Hope this helps.

How strictly enforced the policy is going to be will be dependent on the resort and the cast member checking you in. It sounds as if others have had success with checking in without the entire party being present, but you may want to have your backup plan worked out just in case.
