We will be sailing on DCL when the time comes to check-in for our next cruise. Is there a way to do this onboard, or do I need to see about having my TA take care of it for me? I really enjoy taking care of it and basically all I want is the PAT, but thought I would check to see what my options are. Thank you!

Certainly you can check in while onboard. You just need to purchase an internet package. I will point out that internet onboard can be a little slow, and, coupled with the massively inefficient DCL website, it could be difficult to actually do it. In order to select the PAT, you do need to fill in all previous pages for the PAT page to unlock.

Additionally: if you don't bring your own internet access device (table, laptop) there is the internet cafe, where you can spend time online for checking into your next cruise. And don't forget to book the cruise after that at the Future Cruise Desk.

I thought you could access the DCL website for free on board? Has that changed?

Unless things have changed, the Wonder is the only ship that still has computers and space set aside for them. I believe the other ships have limited portable devices that are available to rent.

The Magic also has a computer area that is very nice. It is on Deck 3 in the Promenade Lounge area.

Do you mean checking in for the second half of a back-to-back?

There's an Internet help desk, but no actual computer for use by guests on the Magic. It was removed at the last dry dock.

I'm taking the OP's situation to be that they are reaching their online checkin date for an upcoming cruise (that's 75 or 90 or however many days out depending on their CC level) and they want to check in, select PAT, book Palo, excursions, ect.

If I remember correctly, you can use the DCL website even without purchasing data. My package had already been used, but I was able to pull up the website to verify that my onboard booking was in place. I would guess that checking in would also be possible.

When was the Magic's last dry dock? The internet cafe with computers was there in May.

Nevermind...found out the answer.

So what was the answer? I thought the Magic lost her computer nook (with computers for guest use) during her re-imagining? I guess that was wrong.

We were onboard in May for the Transatlantic and they had all the computers then. I know they had a dry dock in September so I assumed they took them out then (as based on the post by anricat). I have not seen them gone with my own eyes.
