Check In Day...how much time to get to MK

We are flying in the Thursday before Easter, flight arrives around 1:45 PM in the afternoon. Planning on taking Magic Express to Grand Floridian and checking in. Heading to MK by Monorail and hoping to make our first FP ride at Space from 5-6 PM. Is this doable or should I select another time?

Thanks!

I've never done MDE but I've read you should allow at least 2 hours to get to the resort and get checked in. In theory your timing seems fine but there are so many factors involved it's hard to say. What if your flight is late leaving or late arriving? What if there is a huge pile up on the roads on the way to your resort. What if the bus has to stop at 4 stops before yours, all of which have families with babies who have to get those younguns into strollers and grabbed their 10 pieces of luggage themselves, thus said luggage is going to have to be unloaded from the bus before it goes to the next resort. What if the monorail breaks down on the way to MK (that one is unlikely since it leaves GP and the next stop is MK but hey we are playing what if) and it sits on the tracks for 1 hours after all of the above perfect storm happened. So, in theory, yes you should be o.k.

Thank you loves to dive....I believe we are the second stop after The Polynesian...at least that is what shows up on the Disney Website. I read that they transport luggage separately as well so that may or may not be a problem. Just praying our flight isn't delayed or cancelled due to a snow storm. We had that problem three years ago when we went to Europe : ( Snow in March!

Ugh, snow storm, the advantages of living in Georgia, we rarely have that problem. Good luck, fingers crossed all goes well. They will transport your luggage for you but some people go ahead and pull it themselves since Disney doesn't get it to you right away and some people just don't want to wait. Again, the advantages of living in Georgia, we drive down.
