check in date question

Hi,
We just decided to go back to POR in Aug!!!!!! (Aug 4 or 5th check-in date)
I cannot believe it feels like a rush trip even though we still have over two months. We are a fam. of 5. Does anyone know if it is better to check in on a Sat. or Sun.? Do more people check out on either of these days? We are going to request a riverview room 1st floor due to my DH's leg problems. We had AB bldg 27(corner room) last time and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We would like to get that room or one close to it again. Any ideas or suggestions?

Check in on Aug. 5th. Value season starts 8/5! Save money!

Be sure to tell them when you make the reservations that your location request is for medical reasons.

Thanks! I was curious about that value season. When I price it online it is the same either day. Should I call them and ask? Also will they require a doctor's letter or anything about my husbands leg?

I've never heard of them requiring a letter from a doctor to assign a room for medical needs. We always book a wheelchair-accessible room (we have two DDs who use power chairs), and no one has ever asked for proof. Of course, once we get there, it's pretty obvious that we need the accessible room!

BTW, we have been to WDW a dozen times, and I am still learning!
