Check in change at OKW

Just got back from our trip to OKW. We checked in at about 8:30 in the morning and were told immediately what building we were in but not the room. It was obvious that the CM was scrolling down to find a room. A room was not assigned to me prior to my check in. She told us we were in building 63, top floor, and non smoking. I requested top floor, non-smoking. I got my room at 2:30 which was a treat from the usual 4 0'clock. As it turned out the room was 6321 which was right near the main entrance where all the buses flow by. At any rate it appears you can request another building if you wish at check in. I did not, but it really never matters to me what building I get as long as it is non-smoking and top floor.

If you don't mind my asking - what do you like so much about top floor?

Was the bus noise a problem?

I'll jump in - we've stayed in HH area twice and Turtle Pond area once.

On our first HH trip, we were in building 14 on the ground floor. In this location, I did notice the squealing brakes on the busses a lot. Especially in the evenings.

On our second HH trip, we were in building 13 on the third floor. Didn't notice the busses at all. Oddly enough, parking was a problem for us here - quite often all of the spaces outside the building were completely full.

On our third trip, just last week, we were in building 43 on the ground floor. Busses, what busses? Personally, I am now a HUGE fan of the Turtle pond area, especially buildings 41-43!

I don't want everyone finding out my secret. We love it there. I would not stay anywhere else. Once we were in 20 and when we first joined 10 years ago we were in a few other buildings but it is Turtle Pond every time. That is my first request.

I can't answer for Pa@OKW95, but we also always request the top floor.

1. We don't like the noise from above if you happen to get heavy footed guests, or kids who like to run around a lot.

2. The view is usually better no matter where you're at since you're higher and don't have as many bushes, etc blocking your views.
