How long does it take to check-in (~10:30pm) and check-out (~6:00am)?

I am planning a 12-days trip in WDW but I will stay off-site for nights in-between my trip. Anyone could advice if it is worth to break my trip in Disney resort into 3+7 or just remain a 12-days stay to skip the check-out and check-in procedure in-between the trip?

BTW, could i leave the baggage in Disney resort for the 2 days when I staying off-site?

check in at 10:30 should not take long. It does take 5-10 minutes to get everything done that needs to be done, the wait to get to the counter is what adds time. Checking out takes no time, if you leave a credit card. They will leave a statement on your door the morning you are leaving, you take it with you and you are done. Don't need to do anything. I am not sure about holding your luggage while you are staying someplace else.

We prefer to stay put. I dread the thought of packing up and moving only to do it again a couple of days later. Is there a reason to move? Unless you are changing resorts anyway I 'd say don't move. I don't think you will be able to leave your luggage if you are not a guest.

Since I have 2 nights complimentary hotel near universal stuido for that particular day. I planned to visit universal for that two days so I could save time for travelling from disney to universal.

My option 1 is to keep booking 12-night disney resort, leave luggage in room and stay near universal for the two nights.
Option 2 is to break the disney reservation into 3+7 nights to save money. Since I am on the deluxe dinning plan, i am not only saving 2 nights room rate but also 2 nights dinning cost.

We did this last May. We were visiting WDW and in the middle of our trip we headed to Ft. Lauderdale to attend a wedding for 2 days. I decided to keep my room at WDW while were gone to the wedding...too much stuff to pack up and then have to re-check in etc. I spoke to the front desk manager at the Resort and he had it noted on our reservation for Mousekeeping to not visit our rooms on the days we would be gone so there would be no problem. I just found it was a lot less hassle and allowed us to go to the resort...drop off our bags from the wedding and head to the parks.

The savings are significant. I'd probably do the move in that case. Checking in at 10:30pm your room should be ready!

check in depends on how many are in line . once it took us over an hour to check in and we very very tired. disney tries to make the check quick and easy. We have changed disney hotels this was a nice way too see ig you like the other hotel. good luck

There's no reason to check out at all. They'll deliver your bill to your room on the last morning. As long as it's ok, you just leave.

If you break your Disney stay into two packages, you need to purchase tickets with each package.
