Check in a t WLV...given choice or room pre-assigned?

For those that have taken DME to WLV. When you arrived to check in, did they already have a room pre-assigned to you, or did they give you a choice of available rooms to pick from?

I haver never done the DME thing, so can't say for certain.
With that said, VWL has always used a pre-assign policy.

I guess I don't understand the DME thing. How that would make a difference?

I read some other posts that some people checking in were given a choice of rooms that were available. But this was before the creation of DME.

On our last trip to VWL (Dec. 04) we were given a choice of rooms. It was the first time we have ever had that happen.

I am interested in this answer as well. We are using DME this November and wondering about room assignments.

Maistre Gracey - the way I understand some of the posts I've read, when using DME, when you "check-in" at the airport they notify the resort you are staying at that you are here and they assign you then so check in is quicker.

Please correct me if I've misunderstood this, folks who've used the DME service.

We stayed at the BCV a couple weeks ago and were told our room wasn't ready yet when we checked in (pre-assigned). When we checked back about an hour later, it still wasn't ready so they offered us another room that was ready. We wondered why they didn't make the same offer at check-in instead of making us wait.

When I stayed at VWL in March (before DME), we had the choice of 2 different rooms. Our requests were top floor, pool view. We had the choice of top floor, bus stop view or third floor, pool view. We took the third floor, it was very nice.
