Check-in a POR

We will arrive at POR at around 12:30-1:00 on Saturday, Dec 7. I know that our room may or may not be ready by then. I know I can check in, get our passes, leave our luggage and hit the parks. I was just wondering if you can have the luggage delivered to your room when the room is ready, then call to find out your room number and go directly to your room when the MK closes and just crash?

If you can do this, how do you tip bell services for delivering bags to your room when you're not there yet?

hey, you will love this resort it is my favorite!! most times
when we checked into the resort our room was ready. if not
we were in it by 4:00. so you may want to consider staying at
the resort till it is ready. they have a nice bathroom with
changing areas if you want to swim in the pool. if not they
would i assume go ahead and deliver your bags when it is
ready.at check in they go ahead and give you the room #. if
your driving you could just leave your bags in the car.hope this
helps!!

I actually thought that they would not deliver your bags to your room until you came back to the resort. This is what happened to us, but perhaps that had given me bad info that day.

If they gave you bad info, you weren't the only one. That's what I've always been told too! But last time I stayed at POR, I checked in at 12:15 and my room was ready.

I'm going to assume they won't and plan on leaving the luggage in my car if my room isn't ready.

We were just there 10/5 thru 10/10. You are supposed to be in your room when they deliver your luggage. Fortunately our rooms were ready when we checked in around noon and we went there and waited. It seems like this would be a security thing, but when we checked out on the 10th and headed out to the parks, they told us to leave the luggage by the A/C unit with a tip (if being given) under the bags. Maybe they want you in the room at check-in so you can give them a tip.
