Also, when I called to add my kids, I asked for the front desk and they told me that since I booked through a third party to just to add them at check in, they will take their names and work out keys and then. So guess I will just do it then!

I was just on cheap tickets and it was almost 100 cheaper than the SMSM deal on universals website for a 4 night stay! I did the live chat with someone and asked them why it was so much more(100.00) to put my 8 year old on reservation and he wasn't sure. he said I could try and add her later but it wasn't guaranteed they wouldn't charge me extra. So glad I saw this thread!!!

I just used it today for our June trip, I had AAA booked at RPH for $300 per night and if I wanted the same room it was $254, I decided to switch over to HRH since we have not tried them yet and I think the kids will really enjoy it, and it was still only $286 so we still saved.

TSM, I am not sure what you mean. Universal doesn't have a web site system like My Disney Experience that manages your reservations, tickets, etc. They have a web site that you can make hotel reservations on, but since you already made your reservation you don't need that.

Sure! Not to say that a Universal account isn't helpful...for one thing, it will get you on a mailing list for updates, news and possible discounts in the future, maybe? It's just not meant to be like the My Disney Experience thing. Have a great trip!

The percent off on both was correct, however the rack rate seemed to be more than what it was when I booked a few weeks ago with the 20%. Same dates, same hotel, mind blown lol. I don't get it.

the hotels do change their rates at times.
i booked for a period in october 2015, many months back.
looking at the hotel site yesterday, rack rate increased for the same days i will be there.

glad i locked in early.

I notice that on the Cheaptickets website the Universal hotels will change day to day/hour to hour on their rates. Example, sometimes RPR's base rate is $279. and other times it is $270. It will even do that multiple times a day - go up and back down; up and back down.

Yep--rate for RPR went down $10/day since yesterday. With the rate change and the additional 2%, I saved another $44 by changing my reservation!

I put in Orlando, Fl as my city and Universal Orlando as my area (you are given that option on the left side border of the main page). There is even a space to put in the hotel name. What are your dates and I'll check for you. Perhaps you are checking for a time when there are no rooms available. Are there rooms available at that time on the main Loews website?
