I am going ot WDW oct 12 thru 21 and am staying off site (residence inn).... 9 nights.... i figure we will do the parks wed, thurs, fri, then skip sat and sun, then do parks mon, tues and wed....therefore i was thinking of getting a 6 day hopper pass. I believe this came out for (6 days, 2 adults, 3 kids) about $1400 on an advance tix price....does this sound the best i could do....i do want the ability to park hop, but i dont care about saving any unused tix forever....dont know when i'll be back, but not within the next year or two. are there any deals or any other way to get tix cheaper? thanks:confused: :earsgirl:

Off the top of my head, I think the 6-day passes are Park Hopper Plus passes. Each has two plusses that can be used for the water parks (TL or BB) or Pleasure Island (Disney Quest is a separate fee).

If I correctly counted the days you mentioned as park days, that should be five days. I believe those are available as just park hopper tickets without the Plus feature, which would be less expensive.

It just depends on your plans. And quite honestly, I think you are likely to return to the parks that extra day!

Some places to check pricing are:

Paramount
TicketMania
Maple Leaf Discount Tickets (actually located in Kissimmee)

I'm not sure about Paramount or TicketMania, but Maple Leaf includes sales tax in its quoted prices. I know a number of people who have used there services and been very pleased. I've only used them for a couple of non-Disney tickets, as I have a WDW AP.

Others undoubtedly will be along with more information.

i will want to go to parks 6 days and would want the ability to go to one of the water parks one of the days....which is better TL or BB?

I think that one of those water parks is closed the month of October....now if I could just remember where I saw that LOL

Hopefully somebody else can confirm that (or tell me I was dreaming).

OK...this is just a suggestion, but this is what I would do. First, I would join Hotwire ($1). Then I would purchase 2 adult 7 day Park Hopper Plus tickets ($302.90 each) and 3 children's 7 day Park Hopper Plus tickets ($242.51). These prices include tax and shipping so the entire cost for these 5 tickets including tax and shipping would be $1333.33 ...Plus you must add the $1 for the 30 day trial period of Hotwire, so the grand total would be $1334.33 for 7 park days and 4 waterpark days which will never expire so they will be good the next time you come! *grin*

Now is that a plan or what??? Of course you could opt to buy the 6 day PHPs with 3 waterpark days and that would be 2 adult 6 day PHP ($276.07 each) and 3 children's 6 day PHP ($221.42 each) for $1216.40...add the $1 cost for the 30 trial of Hotwire and the grand total for these 5 tickets would be $1217.40.

Me, I'd still buy the 7 day PHPs because each person gets an extra theme park day AND an extra waterpark day for an average of $23.40 apiece...AND these days never expire, meaning they will be good for admission 1, 2, 3...or even 20 years from now!

Bonus...you can also order Disney food vouchers from Hotwire too...and more ...see the thread started yesterday by Trixiezzz entitled " Here's what Simple Escapes & Hotwire offers... " for more specific info.

I'd make a link but I don't know how. Maybe someone else can do that if they know how. Hope this helps!

...one added note...are all of your children under the age of 10? That's the age children are supposed to be for the children's tickets and I based the above calculations on that.

thanks so much... will look into that...i dont know why my calculations came out to more.... my kids are all under 10...BTW do they actually ID the kids at the gate if they look older....my 9 year old is big, probably looks more like 10 or 11....should i bring his birth certificate or is that being silly....:earsgirl:

Carol,

I really hope you do check into it. There's no catch or anything! I did this to check it out and only bought one ticket then cancelled before the 30 day trial expiration date. I kind of hated it that I cancelled it because afterwards I wished I had kept it for a while at least and bought the limit in Penny's, Target and Kmart cards. We easily spend that amount over the course of a school year at those stores anyway...and having my money go 20% further is a good thing!

As for your birth certificate question...no need. As cheap as Michael Eisner can be he hasn't stooped to that yet!
