Cheapest way to get to DLP

Bearing in mind i live in Devon, what way does everyone find the cheapest to travel to to DLP?

Car & Tunnel (seems cheapest at mo as saving clubcard points like mad)
Car & Ferry (although ferries seem so stupidly expensive!!!)
Eurostar (although i have to add on the cost of getting to London first)
Plane (deals are hit and miss and i don't like leaving stuff to the last minute)

I think that's pretty much all the options...

anything i have missed? any tips on keeping it really cheap?

what are your experiences?

Where in Devon do you live? If you're anywhere near Exeter you could get the megatrain or megabus to London for £20 train, £10 bus. Then you can catch the eurostar to Disney for £50-70 (I often find it's cheaper to get it to Paris and then get the RER from there).

The cheapest solution will depend on how many people are in your party. If there's many it would probably be cheapest to drive but it'd be very slow and not much fun!

I live in Preston and normally get the plane from Liverpool as it's quick and convenient. I have used the train/megabus + Eurostar in the past though as it can work out much cheaper.

Have you been on the bus? how was it, beggars however can't be choosers i guess!

Would be two of us going, i suppose you can use tesco vouchers towards eurostar travel too...i assume, can anyone clarify that??

I've used the megabus many times. It's just the same as any other coach company in all honesty. They txt you a code that you show to the driver when you get on, it's very simple. The megatrain is on there, when you chose your stations it has the option to select bus or train.

hi-you can use tesco clubcard vouchers for the eurostar but only as far as lille i think,you cannot use the vouchers for the direct Dlp line but others have got as far as lille then transferred and its not been too bad a change from what i`ve read

We live fairly close to Folkestone so decided to take the car on the euro tunnel, I don't think there was much in it cost wise between that and taking the eurostar but we liked the idea of having our own car with us.

according to the site you can use clubcard points ONLY on eurostar for the £99 return journeys, if the journey costs more than this you can't make up the difference it has to be a £99 one only and as their journeys for London - Lille are from £110 return... not very helpful!!!

It's difficult i mean if you get flights cheap it's still £120 return plus costs of getting to and from said airports either end of your journey.

then there's driving; about £80 diesel gets us there and back, tunnel i can use the vouchers so this is the cheapest by far, it's just about 8 hours driving!!

Can't you tell I'm trying to find the cheapest ways poss so i can go there more next year! would rather spend less on travel and spend the extra staying on site.

But if we were to stay off site anyone got any cheap hints for a couple? Davy Crockett looks cheap and fun! Don't want to be spending more than £25 a night...

I think you'd have to break the journey somewhere, that's quite a lot of driving in one go especially when you have to deal with a foreign country, driving on the other side, different roads and signs at the end of it. And you want to enjoy your holiday, not be knackered from driving!

We live in Wiltshire and are driving to Kent and taking Speed Ferries. Works out at about £40 return plus petrol I believe.

We're able to stop over with family in Kent which helps with the long drive!
