Any reputable town car services or shuttle services? How much should we expect to spend (round trip) for our family of 4?

Thanks wise ones!

I also saw this on another board but has anyone used mickeys space shuttle before? Have not found anyone that has.

No, I'm sorry but I've never heard of anyone using this service before either. I think I would have a hard time using them because of the negative comments it makes about the other shuttle services. Mud slinging is best left to the politicians. It's off putting but that's just my opinion.

Well the website also looks rather amateurish and not very professional at all. Typos and fuzzy photos do not inspire confidence in this outfit.

We're renting a car for 2 days to do our pre-Disney stuff but then ditching it when we're more or less locked in at DL. We'll probably be taking Supershuttle back to LAX. I've taken Supershuttle in Anaheim before and in other cities and never had a problem (except for the really strange drivers in NYC...but then I attribute that to NYC). :rotfl2:

I always just cathch the Super Shuttle at the curb. $15/pp and it works fine.

We're going in a little over a week, and we're going to try Prime Time Shuttle. They got some good reviews when a asked a while ago, and they are a little cheaper than Super Shuttle for our group of 6.

If you have time, the cheapest way to get to Disneyland from LAX is via the bus. I ran a check on the mta.net site, and this is what they gave me:

You are traveling on Saturday and Arriving at 10:32AM . Fare class: Regular. Max walk: 1/3 Mile. Mode: ANY.

Starting at LAX AIRPORT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ride Metro Bus 42( DOWNTOWN LA UNION STA) heading west
From: LAX TRANSIT CENTER DOCK 13 Lv: 07:22AM
To: BROADWAY/5TH ST(NE corner) Ar: 08:13AM
Pay $1.25
Ride Metro Bus 460 (DISNEYLAND) heading west
From: 5TH/HILL(NW corner) Lv: 08:42AM
To: EAST SHUTTLE RDWY/DISNEYLAND Ar: 10:24AM
Pay $2.25

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ending at DISNEYLAND

Total cash fare = $3.50 *For this trip consider a Metro Day Pass
Trip time is about 3 hours and 2 minutes.
Trip distance is about 54.46 miles.

(note that the Metro Day Pass is $3)

We used Mickey's Shuttle this past March (5 adults and a 14-month toddler). We were actually waiting for the Airport Bus when the driver of the shuttle approached us and asked us where we were headed for. When we said Disneyland, he asked how many of us and said he had room for all of us. We then mentioned we didn't have a carseat for the toddler and he said it wasn't required. Since the Airport Bus was still no where in site, my DH (who was rather impatient) wanted to just go with the shuttle so we did. We paid $15 for each of the adults (no charge for the infant). There was only 1 other family in the shuttle with us (family of 3). Although we all fit in the van, it was very uncomfortable and the air condition wasn't cooling us at all. With so much people packed in the van and no air conditioning, it seemed lilke a very long ride into Anaheim. We were lucky that we got dropped off first (BWPPI). We did also use them to go back to LAX and experienced the same thing (packed in and again the air condition not working properly). I cannot truthfully recommend this shuttle service because I personally would not go with them again. I also noticed on the website that they had a $25 rate for roundtrip (it was not mentioned to us). We used them to go back to LAX because the driver gave my DH a card to call them for our trip back to LAX. We paid another $15 each for our trip back.

We just returned from our trip and we used Golden West Express. We reserved a van to pick us up at LAX and drive us to CCI in Anaheim. The cost was $75 one-way for our family of 5. We were the only ones on the van and it took less than an hour to get to our hotel. They also took us back to LAX (only our family) for $75 return trip.

I was very pleased with their service. It was nice because we were the only ones on the van and we didn't have to stop at any other hotels or wait for the van to fill up. It was very direct and dependable and worked great for our family.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I have a coupon for Disneyland Express as well. Has anyone used this transportation and if so, how was it?
Thanks for any help!

I was very pleased with Prime Time Shuttle. $30/round trip +tip and I would do it again. I am sure Super Shuttle is just as efficient.

Bumping for more opinions on Disneyland Express.

I suggest super shuttle. You can get the shuttle or a private car. We have used them in all the major cities we have lived in, they have always been excellent. To get to DL, we used their private car service..also excellent.

Check them out at supershuttle.com

A Week from today! Good-bye WDW -- Hello DL! :rotfl:
We are not looking for the cheapest way from LAX.
We use to use town cars when coming to WDW (before we moved here). They were great. But I can't say they are essential if we can get a reliable shuttle that will drop us off near or at our hotel.
We are not staying on property, but right across the street, on Harbor Blvd.
Where do the shuttles drop guests off? Do they stop at the guest's hotels, or have normal routes that could possibly be near a specific hotel, but not necessarily?
We (2 adults) will only be there for a long weekend, so traveling fairly light anyway.

I have taken the Disneyland express before and it worked just fine.

Another option that I have used is a rental car. I rented from Hertz at LAX and made my reservation so that I could drop the car at the HLE (Hertz Local Edition) right by Disneyland. That way, I only had to pay for one day of rental. It also made it so that I could drive to a grocery store and pick up a few items to cut down the price of food. When you drop off your car, Herts will run you back to the park or a nearby hotel. I then played at Disneyland for however long we stayed. To get back to LAX, we had made another reservation from the HLE to LAX. Hertz coordinated a pickup time and place. I just paid for another one day rental and drove back to LAX.

I haven't heard of many other people trying this, but it may work well for you. I believe there is an Enterprise (The evil E), or National/Alamo right by Disneyland too. Hertz specializes in one way rentals, so I went with them.

National is on Katella...right across the street from the Jolly Roger, I think. We rented from LAX and kept the car for 1.5 days (we did a grocery run, went to the Crystal Cathedral, went to the Character Warehouse in Fullerton, went to Hollywood for the Fountain and Studio store). It only cost us $45 and we took it to the office on Katella. They drove us to the park afterwards.

Now, we took Supershuttle ($15/person) to get back to the LAX (there were only 2 of us). They picked us up in front of our hotel but you have to make sure you make a reservation first. They drop you off at your hotel as well but you may be dropped off last or first...depending on who is in your shuttle. When we were picked up at the Anaheim Hilton to go back to LAX, there were a number of people from the same hotel so our shuttle went straight to LAX without picking anybody up from other hotels.
