Cheapest way to get annual pass

Yes, but I believe you have to get the TiW card from Guest Services--not at a ticket booth--so you would want to use the ticket to enter the park, then go straight to Guest Services to do the upgrade and purchase your TiW card at the same time.

Awesome, sounds easy enough! Thank you!

Okay, I feel like a dummy. I'm planning on upgrading my ticket (6day base from WDW package) to an AP in less than two weeks. I've always just bought AP's in the past outright...not upgrading a current ticket. It's been a few years since I've even had an AP. But I guess what I'm trying to figure out, and I think I know the answer, is there any reason for me to up the ticket upon arrival to a 10 day or park hopper before upgrading to an AP? Would that save me any money in the long run? I think it would all be the same cost, but just trying to wrap my head around the upgrade. Thanks!

1. No.
2. No.

Thank you! Can you charge your tickets back to the room ? We usually don't carry our card anymore.
While you can, be aware that there is usually a limit on what can be charged to the room. It is usually $1500 or less. I'd recommend on knowing what that number is before showing up at a ticket booth without an alternative form of payment.

Thanks but it is only going to $660 for 2 AP after they apply the credit for 7 day hopper. I am aware that they will charge my credit card after a certain amount of money is in my folio and that depends on the category of hotel we are staying.

Unfortunately I missed the great rate on the PS 4+3 day passes. Who has the best deals now?

We buy military annual passes at our local base and they are always cheaper. Do you have a base near you where you can purchase them?:confused3

Undercovertourist may have some tickets at the old price, can also try Maple Leaf, both are authorized sellers, and both are fine to order from Undercovertourist prices include tax and US regular mail shipping.

May also try Tickets to Work, if you qualify via your work.

Hi,
I hope someone can help me. We have bought a package (UK)with 21 days MYW Tickets and want to upgrade it to APs. If they take (after first use) the current ticket price for 21 days, how much would it cost or can I upgrade for free?
Thx in advance.

I am hoping someone can help me. If I buy a 4-day park hopper pass from Expedia, what would the cost be to upgrade to an annual pass once we get there?

Thanks

1. If they take (after first use)
2. the current ticket price for 21 days, how much would it cost or
3. can I upgrade for free?

1. No NEED to use the tickets first, but you CAN if you like.
2. How much IS the current price (USD) for the 21 day UK ticket?
3. I don't understand the question.

You simply subtract the price that you paid for the 21 day UK ticket (answer to my #2 question)
from the cost of the AP that you want to purchase.
You would pay that difference price (plus 6.5% tax on that difference price) for the AP upgrade.

I did want to point out to others that this is an
outdated ZOMBIE THREAD that discusses discounted
tickets that are no longer available.

Hi Robo,

thx for your reply. Sorry for that complicate question, maybe I'm wrong.
2. i read that after first use they take the current gate price not the discounted price at purchase ?
3. if they take the current gate price 21days ~ 40$ a day would be little bit more then the AP price.
Greetings Aline

2. Ignore that advice.
3.What does it cost, total? I'll guess about $830 (USD.)

So, if you want to buy the Disney Platinum Plus Pass, ($829 (USD.)
you can simply trade your 21 day UK ticket for that.

OK, so I just returned from WDW last week. We bought five 4 day PH with and extra day in May of this year. Our current AP expiration date was 10/28 plus the 30 day grace. We went to DS on the day of our arrival and upgraded before we used the tickets. We ended up paying and additional $130 ($65 each AP) for two GOLD APs. They way I understood it the CM knew how much we paid for the tickets because I asked her how she knew what I paid. She told me the EXACT price that I paid for 5 tickets back in May, I was impressed. I brought the cards that were sent from UT to the customer relations the night of upgrade and she scanned the cards, my guess was to check out the price? Just my 2 cents worth.

1. Sounds good.
2. How much is a "Gold AP," full price?
I'm not sure that you got the correct price for your upgrade.
3. It is not relevant to the upgrade price as to what you PAID for your original ticket.
It is only relevant what the price was for a new 5-day ParkHopper on the date you upgraded.
4. I'm at a loss as to how she could do that. How would Disney know what you paid to another ticket seller?
They don't have that information available.
5. I imagine that it was to record the ticket numbers into the transaction.
Disney keeps track of such things.

By looking at the current renewal price for a gold AP ($496.29) (full price is $584.69) I received credit for the current price of $421 and change for the tickets I bought earlier this year, I bought those at a lower price. Doing the math I did pay $75 each not $65 each a previously posted. I did confirm with my wife that the CM did quote the price I paid for the tickets. The math I did before we upgraded had me paying more for the renewed AP than what we actually paid, at least I was happy with the outcome.

Aline - I am also from the UK and have enquired about the UK ticket and upgrading to an AP- as the 21 day ticket is sold through Disney as an exclusive UK 'perk' it is my understanding you would not get gate value for per day but a conversion from £ to $ for the ticket price. So if it cost you £400 (sorry i can't remember how much the ticket is worth!) at an exchange rate of 1.25 (I'm being generous for round numbers!) you should get 'credit' for $500 not $800+...

We liked at doing similar as the UK ticket is such a good deal and if it was based on per day value-we would obviously be in the money rather than needing to buy from a third party.

Hope that makes sense! This is how I understand it anyway!!

If you do give it a go and get an upgrade to a platinum pass-please let us know!!!
