Cheapest way to get a ride from the airport

I need to know which way would be the cheapest to get my grandfather from the airport to our resort (All Star Music) and back to the airport.... Should I use MEARS?

If he is staying overnight, put him on your or his own room reservation and reserve Magical Express for him at least two days in advance of his actual day of arrival and of his actual day of departure.

(Sorry, he should not be in your room overnight if the room is at capacity without him.)

For a day visit he can buy a round trip shuttle ticket from Mears, I think the cost is about $30.

Now I am not sure of the procedure for reserving the trip (time wise) back to the airport via Mears' shuttle, perhaps someone else can fill this in. His pickup would be between 3 and 4 hours before his flight depending on how Mears schedules things on that day.

The cheapest way would be, Disney bus from the resort to Downtown Disney, then the Lynx (public transit) Route 111 bus to the airport. Time-consuming, but no transfer required - and it costs about $2.

If he is on your room reservation then you can book him a r/t ride via DME at no cost- doesen't matter if he arrives after you do or leaves earlier as long as he is on the reservation.

2nd cheapest is the linx but I woudn't put my parents through that, JMHO.

3rd cheapest would be booking with Mears but you can't do it in advance for a WDW resort. He will have to book it when he arrives, for an idea of fares check the mears website. They won't quote an estimate for WDW resorts due to DME but a quote for the Swan or Dolphin should be about right.

A taxi will run about $60 each way plus tip and a town car would be around $120 - $150 plus tip round trip.
