Hi

I would like to go to DLP for a weekend, just a nice cheap get a way but I haven't found any bargins so far by looking on the internet.

Its for 2 adults going on a friday staying 2 nights, we are happy to go when it is cheapest etc.

Any tips?

Hi Lorapinky :)

I'd love to help, but I'd maybe need some more info? Does it matter when it is or where you stay?

Because I'm trying to arrange a trip away in January (when I have found it to be cheapest), I've had a wee look for you...

Say you adjust it slightly and go on Thursday 11th January. You get an extra night free if you stay at Hotel Santa Fe, so 3 nights/4 days for £208 for 2 adults, including park tickets and breakfast for 4 days...I think this is a really great deal and there are some bargain airfares in January with Ryanair or easyjet?

If this doesn't suit let me know so I can have another look for you.

If you are happy to stay of site, I would book direct with the holiday Inn, It has low rates and it is a 4 star hotel. The prices are similar to a value Disney hotel and it has a free shuttle bus to the parks.

Also think about getting an annual passport, you can get one for 129euros and this will give you discounts in the shops and restaurants, you only need to buy one for the discount so you can buy a 3 day hopper pass for anyone else in your party.

Transport will depend on where you live, though cheap flights can be found with budget airlines.

I am sure some one got a flight for about £15 one way with tax. can not remeber the airline though.

If you want to stay on site you can sometimes get free night offers, I think there is some in November, though I think you would have to book 3 nights and pay for 2. with the Disney packages tickets and breakfast is included. The Cheyenne seems to be the best on site cheaper option and has great Disney theming.

Yes budget airlines are the way to go! We got return tickets with Ryanair for £25 RETURN for our January 2005 trip, so keep your eyes peeled.

As wideeyes says Holiday Inn is pretty cheap and has a higher star rating but I cannot give advice on this as I've not stayed here - though the thing is you would have to buy your park passes on top of this - though this would work out if you did decide to buy annual passes.

Thank you

We wouldn't mind going in january Tinkerbell36.

Thank you for looking. We dont mind when we go, but we want to stay on the disney site, santa fe is nice. We are a very basic budget couple so dont worry. We would like to travel from leeds as we live in york. Are they any other way of going except via flights?

Thanks again :thumbsup2

Have you thought about national holidays ? we are in hull and find it cheap we stayed at the kyriad in july for £229 per adult thats including a 2 day hopper pass bed and breakfast and ferry crossings .they do the santa fe for betwwen £199 -£269 depending when you go its a long coach trip but we have survived it 5 times .

Cheapest way we've done it is to drive & camp.

Ryanaire had cheap flights a couple of weeks ago might be worth checking their web-site.

Don't know if this is any use but I received an e-mail from bmibaby yesterday to say that they're offering 25% off all routes at the moment. :confused3

My DLRP trips are always as cheap as possible, we keep cost's low by staying here This time we are flying jet2 from Leeds & Bradford. We are staying 3 nights and for 4 adults the cost is £195pp, my calculations in this figure were

Flights
Car hire
Petrol
Parking
Hotel
2 Day park hoppers

Usually Gavin & I drive via P&O ferris but as I am the only driver on my girls only trip it would have been a long way!

Wow, Jodie, that is really reasonable! I have booked for January myself, but am looking to go again with DH. What is the hotel like?

Sara. :)

I've stayed in formula 1's in the past and thought I'd offer my opinion. They're basic and solely to use as a base as there is nothing in them except the rooms, a couple of vending machines and reception. They also tend to be surrounded by nothingness/commercial properties. The rooms have a double bed and a single bunk bed above with a sink and a small desk and chair in the room. They aren't ensuite but have those automatic cleaning toilets and showers in the corridors. They are always really quiet hotels (I've found) and I've never had to wait to use the loo or the shower. I don't mind staying in them, but the B&B and the Hotel Premiere Class are around the same price & they're ensuite. Not too sure where they are around Disney though

I can stay at the Sante Fe for £208.00 for both of us 3 nights but I am having trouble finding cheap flights.

We aren't bothered how we get to it just as long as its cheap and not too fussy, any ideas?

We are from York if that helps?

Hi there,

I've had a look on travelsupermarket.com for you and found OK BMIbaby flights.

If it is the 11th Jan you are heading on, return flights for 2 leaving at 07.15 from Leeds Bradford and arriving at Charles De Gaulle at 09.50, coming back on the 14th, departing at 16.35 and arriving at 17.05 are £162.80.

If you wanted to leave later there is an option to depart around 6ish for slightly more money.

Have a look at the site :)

DH and I are going next week and we got a bargain.

Easy jet flights (booked in Jan) for £121 for both us return inc tax etc. and also inc holiday insurance!

Holiday Inn (booked in Jan direct with Holiday Inn) for £180 for both of us, 4 nights!

We still need to add our tickets to that cost and any travel to and from the airport, spending money and food.

But I think we have got quite a good deal.

ARGH!! Sorry for triple posting :$ but booking with bmi direct is much cheaper as suggested in my first post as I just noticed the link i posted above actually is price per person whereas the £162.80 is return flights for the two of you.

Sorry again, I'll do my research thoroughly before posting :(

If you don't mind flying from Doncaster, and shift your dates slightly to the 7/1/07 leaving on 10/1/07 it'd still cost you £208 for three nights at the Santa fe but flights would only cost £35 each with Thomsonfly

So in total it'd come to £278 for 3 nights at Disney!!! Plus the 7th of Jan is the last day of the christmas celebrations so you'll get to see the big tree and the castle with special lights on it! It really is a good time of the year to go, the park looks so pretty but there are no waiting times for any of the rides!

Hi

Does anyone know how to get from the airport to DLP?

I have looked at the thomsonfly and its very well priced. thanks for suggesting them.

We usally take the VEA which is a shuttle bus which stops at all the hotels, there are other options though, such as the train. There is more infomation on the sticky thread at the top of the board.
