thinking of buying them for Christmas presents
Is it better to buy them now at the Disney Store? Is there still a DVC discount? Isnt there usually a price increase at the beginning of every yr?
Thank you

Actually if you are still a Disney Club Member then I think you should buy them at the Disney store now. I think they have the best prices. I am purchasing our 4 day hopper passes for our trip in December thru the store. each is $204.08.

I think the best ticket deal is with Paramount. $301 an adult 7 day hopper with 4 plus fesatures and a free character breakfast coupon (includes breakfast, tax & grat.)

$15 shipping per order

I looked on that site, and they have 7 day park hopper passes with 4 plus features. I had never heard of those. Are they just like the 4 & 5 day hoppers? Where you can save the days to use later (no expiration date). Is it the same with the 'plus' features?

Just curious.
Thanks!
DJ

7 day hoppers are the same as the others. The days and plus are good forever. I also verified that the pluses stay valid even after the park days are all used. Because of my DD's age, we don't use many pluses right now, but I am sure that will change.

Enjoy

Have you tried AAA? I bought a 5 day PH (no plus) for $201 I think including tax last January. Advance purchase prices haven't went up since that time, so I would assume they're still the same.

ebaynut-are those 4 day PHP or just PH? That price doesn't seem quite right with the discount...Or did you not figure in the discount? I'm confused...

The price you quoted is the current Advance Purchase price for a 4-day PH. That price is available to all who purchase the pass in advance. Disney Club membership is not required.

When prices were last increased in September '02, the Disney Club discounts were eliminated on the Park Hopper passes.

If you haven't purchased your tickets already, you might want to consider the 6-day Park Hopper Plus. With the Advance Purchase and Disney Club discounts, the total for this pass is currently $250. For $45 more you get an extra park day and two Plus options.

With regard to AAA pricing, be aware that there is no national pricing on WDW tickets. AAA offices are independently managed and discount levels will vary from one state to another.

Also note that if you buy your Hopper through AAA ans lose it at the parks, Disney will not replace it because it was not bought through disney. You are out of luck. I sadly, expierenced this about 3 years ago. I had to buy a new hopper.

My understanding was with a copy of the back of the ticket they could track the days left and put a stop on it. Maybe a CM lurking can confirm this.

AAA is the only place disney will reverify tickets if they're lost that's not Disney...there are huge contracts between AAA and Disney right now (bigger than they used to be) which explains the AAA service stations EVERYWHERE, AAA diamond parking, etc etc etc...Disney and AAA will work with you if you lose your ticket though. I saved my receipt and the numbers anyway and left copies with family at home just in case...

Disney should be able to re-issue any lost tickets as long as you can provide the serial numbers from the back. With those numbers they can access all of the details regarding the usage of of the pass. Many people make photocopies of the back of their passes just to be safe.

All WDW passes are originally issued by Disney. Some are sold at wholesale rates to vendors like Ticketmania or Paramount. But they all come from WDW and can be replaced if lost with the proper information.
