Cheapest way to book a WDW vacation?????/

Hi! I am ready to book a trip to WDW for next Oct, but before I book through the WDW website like I usually do, I was wondering if there is a much cheaper way of doing this.

How do you book your WDW resort, park tickets, and airfare???????

Generally, the least costly, is to do it yourself, AFTER learning the ins and outs here on the DIS, reading the various planning boards here, asking questions. I would say if you are looking for it to be 'done for you', Dreams Unlimited, Pete's travel agency, affiliated with the DIS here, has a pretty good reputation for building a pretty good package. You do have a lot of time to work on it yourself, and, that can be a very fun part of the whole deal too, along with a sense of accomplishment.

I was always a fan of booking yourself, especially in the good old days when codes were abundant. But I didnt think there was a way to do dining without going through a TA or WDW, correct?

Best way...especially if you plan to visit frequently.

Join DVC. Get a Premium Annual Pass. Get the Disney Dining Experience. Check the boards early and often for discounts and deals.

With the DVC you get at least $100 off your annual pass, you get access to the Dining Plan, and other discounts. THis last trip we were there for 6 days and ate enough to spend out the money we would have spent in the first 3 days. The rest was free food! Besides, you get to stay in a delux resort for the price of a moderate, almost as cheap as a value resort.

The DDE is good to have to get the discounts on the food and things that aren't on the plan. You also get discounts at places like the Virgin Megastore.

You can do it all yourself and pocket the savings!

Not sure how you booked on your own but you can book on the WDW website and getting the dining plan

You can book just about anything on your own through Disney - including dining & packages, and you can use codes. Something I wanted to metion that some people don't know is that you can earn free Park Hopper passes through Marriott & Hilton rewards points. Each trip we use frequent flyer miles to fly for free, and use our Marriott & Hilton points for free Park Hoppers. You can't beat that!

I always use mouseear vacations. I go thru Pam and she is fantastic. I find whatever the disney site is offering, somehow my trip is ALWAYS cheaper. And if a special comes up she rebooks me at the cheaper rate.
I don't know about you but I am not always aware of all the promotions, and she always is. This trip alone she saved me $500.

Also she gets me ressies at CRT. Anyone familiar with these boards knows how hard that is.

I highly recommend her, and alot of my friends have started using her also.

I went on travelzoo and found a reference to a good rate with a travel agencies at lisa@unlimitedcruises.com. She is great, got us a good rate at CBR for $99 per nite the end of October plus a lot of freebies. First time I have used an agency and I am glad I did. They also do air fare with Fun Jet. I would highly recommend them.
