We are hoping to go again in Nov this year and I have had a quick look on the website we normally use (Thomas Cook Signature) and rather than £606 for 2 adults and 1 child, for 5 days 4 nights etc..... it seems to be almost double!!!

Any thoughts on better and CHEAPER places to book?

We are hoping to go via Eurostar this time, sometime from mid to end Nov Monday to Friday....

THANKS!

It's generally cheaper to book direct with Disney, so try that. You will also be better to book Eurostar direct (with Eurostar) because you can then choose your seats rather than be allocated them and risk not being sat together (it has happened).

Agree!!! :thumbsup2

Hi,
I've just started looking for Jan 09 and the best way for me is to book hotel/passes with Disney and book the flights myself (bmi baby from East Midlands) I seem to be saving a bit of money by doing it this way,
hope this helps, let us know how you get on,
Ruby x

I've only once taken home a stack of travel brochures to browse for DLRP, when we went in 2004 and I was booking for another family as well and TC Signature was the most expensive of the lot. For that holiday First Choice came out cheapest and that taking into account bookable extras we wanted like CB breakfasts and Buffalo Bill's. There is no easy way of finding the cheapest deal, but most people swear by booking DLRP direct and the travel seperately. :)

I'd recommend: http://www.cooptravel.co.uk/

They've beaten every other quote for me over the last few years, and they even do b&b at the disney hotels now.

I've just booked 4 nights at the Davey Crockett b&b, as we're going to buy passports this trip, and they undercut the disney direct price by £40.

So far I've always booked a Disney hotel direct with Disneyland website (we don't have annual passports or anything) to get breakfast and entrance tickets.

We then do travel using Speed Ferries and drive down which we found surprisingly easy. I think I've paid £56 for a return for one car.

The first time we went, we booked via a travel agent. Thought it would be the easiest option as we really didn't know what to do or where to stay etc. It worked out quite expensive and that was off-peak (in Sept, as DD hadn't started school then). Then for our next trip, I kind of knew what was happening etc, so I booked the hotel direct via Disney's website (but phoned up instead of booking online) and booked train tickets via Eurostar direct. It worked out cheaper than our 'travel agent trip' before and this was peak-ish in April !

We've done the same (booked directly) for our trip in Dec and it has worked out cheaper than if I had booked it via travel agent.

I never book packages or through agents, as it's always cheaper to book everything direct I find.

I saved over £100 per person by doing this on my upcoming DLRP trip. And for next years WDW trip, I will be saving almost £600 per person, AND then the extra they charge you for tickets if you book through a UK agent. It's awful really.

I either book the hotel through Disney or through First Choice (They deal directly with Disney) and then booked the travel directly through Eurostar. Always works out cheaper :)

I never book packages for any holiday - way too expensive.

We are 2 adults and 3 children and I have just booked for October half term - 3 nights at the Explorers.

If I'd have booked with Disney direct (no travel) I would have been paying for park tickets that I would not use, because of flight times and a day at the Paris masters. It would have cost £949.00.

Expedia for 3 nights Explorers, no park passes £463.32

www.sunshine.co.uk 3 nights Explorers no passes £422.36

I had a lot of airmiles so I have infact booked flights and hotel through them at a cost of £495.00 and 5500 airmiles.

Have to say if I'd had about 300 more airmiles I would have booked just the flights with them and gone with sunshine travel

It really is worth shopping around and if you're not too restricted on dates check the low cost airlines its amazing how much you can save.:cheer2:

Always gone by coach firm ,quite cheap but long long journey and only two days in parks although stayed at kryaid explorers on site.
This year thought i,d be brave and book everything my self so ive ended up with this......
1 adult , 2 children (11yrs) in august school hols

Flights ,jet2.com £227
hotel bussy st george
(5 nights) £169

park passes disney store
4 days for price 3 £235

total £631

Thats £210 per person ,will have to see how it all goes but im all for a adventure ,oh booked rs transports for airport run ,not long to go now :)

Always booked directly through Disney and Eurostar separately...

always booked with tour operator but wont again as they bumped all their prices up from what was in brochure with no warning.will try the direct route next time.
