Do you think it is cheaper to book room only through Disney or go through an agency?

We have our flights and tix just need a room....

I am debating now on switching our room and wonder if some of these sites with the room only is actually cheaper than through Disney.com

We are scheduled to go to AOA for 3 nights and POR Royal Rooms. Now with the Visa Discount I am debating on doing AOA for 4 nights and the BC for 3. I am so torn on what to do. I could do POR and BC seeing as though it is only 60.00 more than AOA for those three nights. It just seems so much more expensive to bump up to a Deluxe...WDYT. My dd is 6 and son is 4.
The price we have now is AOA 481.51 to POR for 991.40=1472.91

If we do POR to BC and not AOA the difference is 703.00 or a total of 2175.68...or I could skip POR and do AOA BC and that might be similar to the AOA-POR that we have booked.... help

AOA is a great resort for little ones, particularly with the ages that your kids are, I'd say definitely try and get there.
If they like swimming, I would say go to BC instead of POR because the pool there is generally considered the best on site.

In reality, for the few nights you would be staying there, there wouldn't be much difference between BC and POR except for the prince, so unless you think that having a bigger pool, nicer room/atmosphere is worth it, go with POR.

In terms of if it's cheaper to go through an agency, honestly the best thing you can do is to call up both and agency and Disney and get a quote for the price of both the rooms and see what they say :)

Have a magical vacation and good luck!

It makes no difference if you go through an agency or direct through Disney. They both offer the same promotions. If you are an AAA member, you can book through AAA and possibly get the AAA rate. However, if Disney has a promotion out for your travel dates, it likely will be better than the AAA rate.

If it's a room-only reservation, you can get the AAA discount directly through Disney, too. It's only a package that needs to be booked through AAA to get the AAA rate on the room. You're right that Disney's promotions tend to be better than AAA, but it's pretty nice to be able to price all of them through one phone call!

True and good point! I forgot we were talking room only.
