Cheapest Universal WWHP one day tickets/transport

We can only spare one day to do Universal (and only want to visit WWHP anyway!) - where can we buy the cheapest one day tickets for 4 adults/2 adults and 2 tweens?
Is it best to buy in advance or not?

Is mears transport shuttle bus the cheapest way to travel from OKW?

For info we stayed at OKW last year and got a taxi from the resort to Universal and it was $35 each way (including tip)

Very difficult if you can only spare one day.
You only want to go into Islands of Adventure? you don't want to park hop and enter Universal?
If its just IOA gate price is probably the way to go which is just over £56per adult, such an expensive way compared to the 14 day ticket at about £86pp

You aren't going to find a lot of discounts for single day tickets. Most discounts are for multiple days.

We haven't been to universal in years and plan to go this time. It is much chezper to go for 2 days than 1 if you can spare the time the single dAy deAlis rubbish, so we are going to buy 14 day pass and will have the odd afternoon there when we are fed up with disney...like that can happen!
