I posted this on the Transportation Board, but was mostly ignored. :sad1:

We (me, DH, DS & DD) are planning 9 days in Orlando followed by a cruise. I need some advice on the cheapest way to get from point A to point B.

Here is our basic itinerary:

3 nights at Nick Family Suites
6 nights at Hampton Inn Maingate East
7-night DCL cruise

Right now we aren't planning on renting a car (but haven't ruled it out) for the length of our stay, since both hotels offer free shuttle service to/from Universal and WDW. So, as far as I see it, we will need transportation to get:

From MCO to Nick Family Suites
From Nick Suites to Hampton Inn
From Hampton Inn to port
From port to MCO

I could really use some advice on the most economical way to accomplish this. I'm open to all suggestions. In other words, HELP!

TIA!

I priced out a towncar for the legs that you would need and this could run you over $300 once you figure in tips, etc. When are you going? There are some great rental car deals that may make it cheaper for you to leave the car in the parking lot than to take any other transportation. The cruise is the really expensive leg of the entire trip

Thanks for the response! :sunny:

We're not going until October. Yeah, I'm starting to think renting a car will be the cheapest way to go. Just trying to see if anyone else has any ideas I may not have considered. Are there typically any good car rental discounts in October?
