The "value" season is usually from the end of August to November...excluding the Holiday cruises and I think December...excluding Christmas.

You have to keep in mind that June-November is hurricane season. You get great prices but you are risking going that time of year. If you have been keeping up with the boards the last several weeks...you can see how many changes there has been to the ports and days on the ship.

We were on the (well suppose to be on the 9/4 cruise) we finally boarded on 9/7 and it ended up being a 4 nt cruise and we did the western instead of the eastern.

This was our 4th cruise and all have been in late august / early sept. and this is the first time we have ever had problems. We have one booked or this November too. With this active hurricane season...we are praying we will have a normal cruise! :earseek: lol

Have fun planning....if you need anything else...ask away!

We have found the last 3 weeks of September to be the absolute cheapest (in October they go up a little, I think because some school have fall breaks now).

I recommend (again) Jenn and Dave's Passporter. Excellent chart at the beginning that clearly shows price per time of year.

How can you tell when it's cheapest? My family is onboard and traveling in steerage (Disneystyle). Remember those hurricanes....

thanks so much to all for your help.. do you find that it is cheaper to book on your own or to use a TA?

Most TAs will give you a discount over the DCL prices. Sometimes it can be quite a bit, other times it isn't much different.

Hi,
We just booked the December 9, 2006 Magic cruise with Dana at Cruise Planners--she is great! First, we called Disney to compare prices. This cruise was cheaper than May or November. When I called Dana, she was able to save us over $100 per ticket:Pinkbounc . Her website is micdan.com. Good luck!!!

From what I can see it's Sept. We are going on the Sept 16 -06 cruise and got a cat.11 for 2 adults for $1665. But with the extra time we have to save I am trying to convience DH to go up to a cat. 7. Wish me luck!

I have found great value in the spring, as long as you stay away from Easter and President's Week. We just booked for Feb 25, 2006 for a great price! No threat of hurricanes at that time, nice warm weather and (usually) calm seas. At least that has been my experience.
