I think I am interested in a 10 day MYW with no expiration. First I am thinking I read this comes with 5 extra days. Am I right?? Also, where have all of the experts here found the best prices?? Any assistance would be greatly appreicated!! :wave2:

ticketmania is the best price. you get it even cheaper if you subscribe to the newsletter at mousesavers.com which comes out on the 15th of every month. the ten day ticket does have 5 plus days.

Thank you very much! Now let me really try to understand this, you get 15 days of Disney for under $28.00 a day? :teacher: :confused3

Absolutely. Less than $25/day if you try Undercovertourist. If you don't want to wait for mousesavers.com discount then try http://www.undercovertourist.com. They are cheaper without the discount and only slightly higher than ticketmania with it. Tax and shipping is included and they are fast.

Wow  (Ok, call me the one that can't grasp the concept) If I am not planning to go untill next year, can I still buy these now and hold onto? I figure they must raise the price every year. Am I still following correctly?

You can use them whenever. They won't expire. And those "5 extra days" are waterparks or Disney quest, NOT days in the 4 major parks.

We love the water parks but have never done any of the others. This will be a great incentive to expand our horizons! :cheer2:

The ticket only comes with 5 "plus" days if you purchase it that way. The ticket that you're referring to would be a 10-day MYW with Magic Plus (no expiry). The 5 pluses can be used for admission to DQ, PI, TL, BB and WWoS. If you also want to be able to park hop, you will want the 10-day MYW Premium pass (includes 5 pluses and park hopping) and not the 10-day MYW with Magic Plus (includes pluses but no park hopping).

Is your head spinning yet? Wait, there's more...

You only need to purchase the "no expiry" option if you do not intend to use all of your park days and plus options within 14 days following the first use of the pass. This actually gives you 15 days to use a ticket (the first day of use plus the 14 days that follow).

In other words, if you're planning a long trip for next year and will use up all of those days on your tickets while you're in WDW, then you do not need the no-expiry option. The no-expiry option is for those who prefer to buy a single ticket and make use of it over two or more visits.

The clock does not start counting down on that expiry ticket until you've used it for the first time. So, you could purchase your MYW tickets today and not visit WDW for several years and they should still be good. Disney usually raises prices about once every 12-15 months. If you know that you will be visiting WDW and you have the cash to lay out for tickets now, then it may make sense to get them. I would not carry a balance on my credit card in order to purchase tickets.

Wow, my head is spinning. :rotfl: My thoughts are for more than one visit. So I would need the no expire tickets. Thank you for you help!! This board has the most knowledgable people!

I think the 14 days of an expiring pass is the total lifespan, not the first use day plus 14 more.

You get 15 days out of the 10 day premium pass only if you do not go into a theme park on the same day you go to a water park and you do not go to both a water park and Disney quest etc. on the same day. Going to two different plus venues on the same day does not require hopping but consumes two of the plus visits.

That's one point that's always been as clear as mud to me. Here's what the Disneyworld.com website says in their ticket FAQ:
Q. Is there an expiration date on the tickets that I am ordering?
A. Our Magic Your Way Base Tickets expire 14 days from their first use. However, when you add the No Expiration Option to your ticket, you're free to come back and take advantage of unused days at any time in the future.
I've seen it written on other website FAQs as "14 days after the first day of use", "14 days starting with the first day of use", and "14 days following the first day of use".

It's kind of a moot point since the OP wants a non-expiry ticket anyway, but I emailed Disney to get an official answer. It would be nice to know just exactly when a ticket expires. I'll post the answer when I get a response.
