yesterday I shopped at diapers.com for clearance carters clothes. It was a good deal at 75% off plus another 15% with code CHEAPSALE.

I saw they have a deal on diapers too.you'll get 30% cash back on diapers for three months, plus 15% off everything else in your first order with the same code (CHEAPSALE).

I was wondering if its better to buy diapers there after the first time deal with the 30% or maybe amazon.com com they have a suscribe and save. I rather buy online then go to the store.

which one are you smart budget people using.or is their a better place. online only though. I do not want to lug big boxes of diapers. I am due in may and have stocked up on baby clothes should i prebuy diapers as well.

I have never had to be frugal before but now its a nessecity and every penny counts. I am not working and recently divorced. I do have a little nestegg but I am worried because I am not sure when i will be able to go back to work.

I am trying to find something to do while staying home seeing as baby is due soon. Open to any ideas regarding that as well..

tahnk u in adnavce guys. i know u guys are smart.

Buy smaller packages of diapers at your local store until you decide what works best on your baby. Otherwise you'll be wasting money. Huggies never worked on my daughter, they always leaked. Pampers Swaddlers however I loved. Never had many leaks until it was time to head to the next size.

Last year I discovered the Subscribe and Save on Amazon and it's the cheapest place I can find her Pampers Cruisers.

But yeah, buy small packages of a couple of different types, heck store brand may be cheapest and work for you. I never liked them personally, but know lots of people who use them. Then when you decide you can buy larger boxes online.

I dont like store brand diapers either. I have 4 other kids. So I have tried them. Good point about tryiing a particular one. Before stocking up. I try to go with the more natural looking ones. I rember luvs was mostly plastic but pampers and huggies looked more natural. Then again my youngest is 6 yrs old so its been a while. I also like having them delivered to my door. Just bought some wipes at amazon for a cheap price I post deal below that I found on slickdeals.com just now.

Amazon has Pampers Soft Care Scented Wipes, 720 Count for $11.51 when you enter 10% off code MOMWIPES and checkout with Subscribe & Save and sign up for Amazon Mom. Shipping is free. Thanks santaram
Note, you may cancel your subscribe & save subscription any time after your order ships

I get DD's diapers at BJ's. Best place to get them I've found. Especially when I get coupons too. I've tried Pampers, Huggies, store brands, but the ones that work the best for us are Luvs. And they just happen to be the least expensive!! Love that!!! :goodvibes

S&S on Amazon Mom is the most cost-effective way to get diapers from what I have read and researched. That said, you don't want to subscribe until you know your brand and size needs.

thank you. I have a member ship to costco. I will check their prices. they would have to be a few dollars cheaper than diapers.com or amazon to make it worth the trouble. thanks foir the tip. I never get the coupons at my home though. HMMM

I just ordered wipes from there. however the advice i got was buy them today and cancel after shipment and then wait for another deal. Seems more complicated but these slickdeal people are smart. My friend who makes diaper cakes uses amazon subscribe and save and is happy. I just gave her the code i found to diapers.com so she is going to see what workds out better. She buys tons at a time.

hmmm I need to borrow an infant. LOL
this is good advice :)
it would suck to have a ton of diapers that I hate.

I agree. Amazon is the cheapest I've found. I also have subscribed to many baby magazines to get an additional 20% off, and there are also $10 coupons out there. You can stack up to three coupons. But even without the coupons its the best price out there. $10 cheaper than Sams and Costco for a big box usually.

I LOVE the Seventh Generation diapers...I actually used cloth for my DS but with DD, she was getting horrible rashes after she turned one and we fought them for six months but finally switched to sposies. She's just working her way up to training pants now and I was able to use the Subscribe & Save for them as well! :thumbsup2

Amazon seems to have the best prices, hands down, with that option and free 2-day shipping! I am now looking at using them for wipes too and I think they're also the best for that.

Oh, and OP - thanks for the cheapsale code (NOT!)...LOL...just spent $53 on Carters and got SUCH cute stuff! I thank you but my checking account does not.

hmm seventh generation. Is that organic. I love the natural stuff but usually its so much more. is it avail on diapers.com or amazon or is that like a whole foods brand? it sounds familar.

and re the carters clothes ur telling me!!! lol
since i found that code i made 3 seperate orders. stocked up to 24 months and I dont have a baby yet. lol. I am due in may. These deal peope are making me poor. however i figure after i stock up I am just going to save save save as there will be nothing left to buy. I loved all the cute outfits so much whyen i got them. they were even cuter in person and look well made. i never bought carters before.

I have used diapers.com for a while now. I like having the diapers come via fed ex directly to my front door in two days. I think the amazon subscription service is great but I want to buy my diapers when I want them. Sometimes I use more of one brand than another. What I have done is bought a whole bunch when I have the 30% code. This saves me a ton of money. I won't buy any more until they email me another code. So far so good, they always come through. I use lots of diapers, my boys are 15 months old. What I have done to save money is use Luvs during the day, Pampers cruisers at night. Huggies are ok but don't work great on my boys. Also I have found most generics are huggies knock offs. By the way, if you ever do order from diapers.com their "premium" brand are the same generic diapers you can buy anywhere else so don't fall for that and they're a little pricey as well. Hope this helps some. With twins, I am always looking to save some money as well.

Like everyone says, wait to stock up until you know your baby's preferrence.
We like pampers during the day when she was little. Now that she's almost 2 we find that we like huggies better.
Huggies nitetime works well for us, not pampers.

We tried luvs, eco friendly brands, and other store brands, nothing worked other than Pampers.

So just get different small packs and try them out before you do bulk buying.

I personally love Amazon S&S. Some days I forgot that we are low on diapers or wipes and then voila! Got an email from them saying more diapers or wipes coming... I still look for coupons and stuff but in the end Amazon always wins for us.
Plus like another PP said, see if you can find a cheap subscription to either Parents or Parenting or American Baby magazine. They've been sending out these 20% coupon in the magazines.
I usually subscribe when I can get it around $5/year or cheaper. And that 20% off clearly pays for the subscription easily.

Anyways, congrats on your pregnancy and good luck!!!

thanks so much I ordered those magazines waiting for the coupons. I decedied to buy some diapers at diapers.com via this deal cause it seems excellent. Then I planto wait for the coupons from the magazines and use amazon for a try when the baby comes.

and Thank you. I am having a little girl and this will be my last. My daughter finally got her sister that she has been wanting.

Seventh Generation is unbleached so it's a bit better...less chemicals. ;) We used to use them on DS when we were traveling so we didn't have to carry stinky cloth diapers around for days. I miss our fuzzy dipes! They fit my skinny-as-a-rail DS just fine and my DD is chunkier but they work great for her too! :thumbsup2

Re the poster who said they want their diapers when they want them...FYI, you can change your dates for shipments at any time. I'm very pleased with that.

Now off to look at the wipes...thanks to the person who posted that! :goodvibes

they sound great. where do u get them from?

They sell Seventh Generation at Whole Foods, at Stop and Shop, and at Amazon as well as at TRU/BRU. They're about $10.99 for a pack but you can always print a coupon for $1 off at www.seventhgeneration.com if you want to try them out. If you like them, the bulk order from Amazon Mom with the 30% discount costs me about $25 for 4 packs (which last a month now, but with a newborn, maybe 2.5 or 3 weeks)?

Funny story: since they are unbleached, they are sort of light brown in color. I brought them to the hospital with me each time I had one of my babies. (Even with our love of cloth, we don't want to get meconium on them so we used sposies till the icky black tarry stuff was gone!) Well, when I had DD, these diapers were a lot easier to find - but the nurse apparently hadn't see them, and she thought they were used already!
