I'm looking for either a PS2 or XBox for DBF for Christmas. Where could I get the best deal for one of these? A bundle or even just the console. Also, please post if you know about any places for cheap games to go along with it.

Thanks!

I don't know about the cheapest place. However, I just recently bought Nintendo Gamecube for $124 @ Sams Club. It included the game console, game (Metroid), extra controller and memory. The memory and extra controller are both $30 each. So, not such a bad deal. Also, Target has a great sale on some of there popular games each game system Gamecube, Xbox and PS2. We were able to get a price match @ Toys r us. Hope this helps.

I saw a PS2 listed for the Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) sale at Toys R Us - it was a bundle deal that came with Tony Hawk Underground 2 and the new Grand Theft Auto San Andreas $219.99.

I thought that was a good price for the console and two $50.00 games considering the console by itself is $149.99.

Also Target Black Friday sale has an XBOX and 3 games for $149.99 that's an awsome deal if you can get there early and get one.

I bought the XBox bundle at Sam's Club. It was just over 200.00 with tax, but it came with two 9ft (cord length) controllers, a remote (for the dvd function) and two games (NCAA 2005 and Top Spin), 2 mos free XBox Live and of course the system and wires to work it. It was an awesome deal seeing Walmart was only like 30.00 cheaper and you only got the system, wires and one controller in their package.

BTW You should check ebay for cheap games. I bought DH severral for C'mas that were new in the package at an excellent price!

this is what was in our circuit city flyer on sunday. A couple of girls I work with went and purchased this for their kids. I think this beats most of the sales down here.

XBOX Holiday Bundle

thru Nov 24 Inclides 1 controller and adapter

I did buy dh two wireless controllers a few weeks back at best buy for $49.99.

I'm also looking for a good deal on one of these. The best I've seen has been Walmart. They have a bundle with 2 games for $149. and some odd change. I'm watching some auctions on Ebay too. :sunny:

I'm afraid you'll be out of luck finding one price better than another. While I was shopping for PS2 I saw the same price everywhere. The only deals would be those that include game and extras, and you woun't be saving money over purchasing separately.

Both PS2 and XBox go for about $150 for the system and one controller. Check individual prices of controllers, games and memory cards prior to deciding on a bundle. You may not want all the extras, depending on games included and things you don't want or need.

Shop around for sales on games. Mostly they are priced the same everywhere, but a few weeks ago TRU advertised buy 2 get 1 free for PS2, XBox and GC. You can usually find some not-so-recent games around $20 each, new releasses are $40-$50.

I just bought an XBox Delux Holiday pack at Costco. It came with the system, (2) controllers, (2 games) and a universal DVD remote for $189.00.

How do you know already, what the prices will be for Black Friday? We don't get those ads, till day before.
