Cheapest, but good place?
I can't spend more than $50. With a little one in the house....I don't buy anything I would cry if it broke LOL

Also would like someone with a 1-2 week turnaround....I want something that will arrive quickly:goodvibes

Try Zenni Optical.

I've ordered regular glasses for my son (got two pairs for $25) and he likes them better than what was offered at the eye doctor's office.

If you want to spend the bare minimum, have you considered the clip on sunglasses?

I am about to get a new pair of glasses but waiting for Visionworks to have their buy one get one free sale again.

I have taken an old pair and had them tinted. It was under $20 and I had them back quickly.

Warby Parker. Frames and lenses are $99 flat. Higher prescriptions will cost $129 with thinned lenses. The glasses are great and actually checked here in America for standards. If you want you can do their try 5 program where they will send you 5 frames to choose for free so you can look at them in person before delivering.

If you need something even cheaper zenni optical is the best online I've found. I use them exclusively (after having bad headaches with glassesshop.com glasses) until I found out about Warby.

I also recommend zenni. I got a pair of glasses and a pair of perscription sunglasses for $25 (including shipping).

You need you glasses prescription and need to know your pupillary distance. If you don't know your pupillary distance call the place you last ordered glasses from. They have to give it to you, although they may try to tell you they can't.

Pupillary distance I believe isn't actually legally required to be relinquished because you can go to any free standing glasses place with a regular prescription and they cand figure it out.

We've used Zenni for prescription sunglasses and have been happy, but the turn around time was more than two weeks.

I get my glasses online. $39 dollar glasses (based in NY) and Zenni (base in CA) both do a good job. No problems getting them for $50 but you may consider spending a little more and getting a pair that darken outside and go clear inside. The best pair i have ever owned were from $39 they are called "Drive" and they are always dark but get darker outside. The idea is, they are dark when in a car driving but when you are outside then they get darker plus they are polarized. It is shocking how much they improve your vision. Anyway, give both sites a look at. Just enter your script information the only problem you need your pupillary distance (center of one pupil to the center of the other pupil). You can measure it yourself (not easy) or ask your eye doctor to do it for you.
