So I was helping a friend research packages and trying to get her the best deal possible. ( I keep trying to get her to try the cabins, LOL):lmao:

I've seen alot of posts of people asking how to get the best deals, rates, etc. and was surprised when researching her specific trip, (resorts, dates, party size, ticket types, etc) but the best deal to stay onsite was by booking thru the disney website, taking advantage of the current specials and even buying the quick service dining plan. The cabins (which I've been encouraging her to try) were the most bang for the buck.

Her quoted package was even better than going thru AAA. I was surprised! Obviously the packages and deals will very depending on the season, but I tell you it makes me want to go back, for sure!

Anyway, just thought I'd share. I hope she chooses the cabins cuz I know she won't be dissappointed. ;) It's between that and PO Riverside.

She got Nancy and I some good pricing on cruises for this past fall, none better than what she quoted.

My only concern about getting the QS DP and staying at the cabins is the lack of CS at the Fort. If she plans on spending all her time at the parks, she'll be fine, but if she plans on hanging out at the resort she'll have to take a boat or bus to get to some decent CS.

In her situation she does plan most of the time will be spent at the parks, which is mainly why I suggeted she take the dp. I've had the plan in the past so I'm aware of the pros and cons, but after weighing her options and particulars I think for her trip for this situation the qdp was the way to go. I recommended a stop at a grocery or a delivery so she can get some staples and breakfast items, I think they will have a good time and she won't have to do any cooking on her vacation.;)

I love helping people plan there Disney fixes too......its next best thing to planning your own!!

I agree completely.:thumbsup2

I am totally excited because I got a pin code that got me 40% off cabins at the fort. It said 30% off moderates, but when the CM put in Ft. Wilderness cabins, it gave us 40% off for some reason.... I really don't care why. This will be our first time at the fort! Too excited.
