Hi everyone

My Girlfriend and I are trying to save for a trip to WDW. We have been three times in the past and can't wait to go again. The problem is we are also saving for our first house. I was wondering what the cheapest way to go to Orlando is. Is it best to book a package deal and if so who does the best deals. Or is it best to book flights and hotel myself any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

hi neil

no doubt you will get plenty of ideas here, imop look at going outside of any school holidays american holidays etc.flights in may went down to £150 each on the teletext not sure how flexible you can be.for car hire try yescarhire.com for tickets try best4usa.com keep looking on the internet try expedia to give you an idea of what sort of accommodation you want. i guess a lot depends on your budget. as a family of 5 we dont eat in the park restaurants as they can be expensive. no doubt you will enjoy looking out for deals.

have fun

My best saving yet has been booking with Virgin on the preview brochure - the last one was at Easter. I got 15% off the price of the holiday. I have priced it since with Virgin and it was £800 more. Depends whether you can wait for the next brochure or not!

I would echo what Michelle says about travelling out of school holidays if you can - the prices shrink!

I have found it cheapest to book a flydrive and then organise my accommodation myself - have you thought about Priceline? You name a price basically and get allocated a hotel in a pre-agreed area (which you select). You can get some real bargains.

If you are very flexibile you can pick up some good last minute deals I think but I have never done this due to work & school commitments.

Good places for flydrive include Expedia, Opodo, Bon Voyage. Give me a shout if you want the web addresses :)

Hi Neil
It will really help if you can be flexible with your dates and avoid US and GB School Hols.
Call TCD , Funway ETC tell them as broad a band of dates as possible and play them off against one another for the cheapest deal :cool1:

Certainly one thing I've noticed on various Internet sites is that a fly-drive is often cheaper than flight only, even if you choose not to take the car.
