Cheapest official way to ESTA?

I have taken a look at the esta posts but there is so much!! I have heard that there are quite a few "rip off" esta sites - where do you guys get them and how much do you normally pay?

it's $14pp

there is only one official site : https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/

there is no such thing as a "cheapest" option, there is only one official site, and many scammers.

Ditto. The only other piece of advice would be to pay with a no commission/charge credit card like the Post office or the Halifax Clarity card. Total cost would then be about £9.20.
