There are so so many off site homes and it's overwhelming! I was looking at Davenport, for $100 a night.
$100 a night seems good. The places doesn't look as fancily decorated as some of the homes I see for more like $250+ a night but still looks nice enough!
Are there any other places around $100 a night that have 4 bedrooms (2 masters)? Not too far from Disney....

Thanks!

I am going thru the same issue. Where to stay I posted something also and got alot of good answers. hope you get the same. Some of the off site hotels charge a resort fee/ parking fee so keep that in mind too. We always stay off site usually Hampton inn near Universal but I saw one in Lake beuna Vista so i might try that one. best of luck!

We've rented in the past from Alexander Vacation Homes and Florida Sun Vacation Homes. We've gotten great nightly rates on 3 bedroom townhouses at the Windsor Hills or Windsor Palms from both rental/ management companies. We've also used All Star Vacation Homes, but lately they seem to be more expensive compared to other management companies.

We were able to rent a 3 bdrm 2 ba condo in Windsor Hills for $65.00/night through vrbo. We are staying for 6 nights for a little over $500.00 including tax and cleaning fee. The condo is about 1400 sq ft and 2 of the 3 bedrooms have king beds. The complex looks lovely and we are very excited about this trip since it was a last minute decision to go:yay:

I also recommend Florida Sun Vacation Homes. :thumbsup2 They offer very good rates, especially if you stay 7 nights or longer (15% discount). They also offer free pool heat in the winter. We use them and stay in a 4 BR in Windsor Hills.

Here is a good thread about pool home communities near Disney:

Thanks everyone!

I am looking up VRBO.com and at the Cental/Disney/Orlando Area, there are like 60 either cities or neighborhoods (not sure which) from Altamonte Springs to Winter Springs. So now, are those all close to Disney? Are some significantly closer than others?

I really appreciate the advice!

The closest communities are in Kissimmee Central West or Kissimmee West if you are doing a search through vrbo.

Post #2 of the previous link I posted has the names of specific communities in Kissimmee that are closest to Disney. The ones most people tend to rent are in Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Indian Creek, Emerald Island and Sunset Lakes. These are all located in the Kissimmee regions I noted above.

Good luck with your search!

Here is a link for a website with homes in Indian Creek; several members on this board have rented through this owner and recommend him:

Here is a home in Windsor Palms:

Here is a home in Emerald Island:

www.vrbo.com/285446

Here are some homes in Sunset Lakes:

www.vrbo.com/32655

This is just to give you an idea of the homes available in these communities. The above communities are the closest to Disney but much less expensive than Windsor Hills.

CTFAMILYLUVSDISNEY: I'm curious, was that the advertised rate on vrbo or did you request a price quote? I haven't used vrbo before but my experience with other sites has been that if I contact the owners I typically get price quotes back that are below the advertised rates. Just wondering if vrbo seems to work the same.

My experience has been that you can find something in that range at both Windsor Hills and Emerald Island, it just takes some looking and contacting the owners for price quotes. Usually I get price quotes that are better than the owner's advertised rates.

Windsor Hills has a nicely organized owners' site (http://windsorhillsrent.com) that makes this a bit easier. You can put in a blind enquiry for your dates and needs, and wait for the owners to respond with their individual quotes.

SOCCERDAD - I requested a quote direct from the owner and it was definitely less than the price on the website. I thought maybe because we booked kind of last minute (about a month before our trip) that was the reason for the cheaper rate. We just couldn't pass that rate up - I have to say I e-mailed dozens of owners about the rate and availability of their units and the prices ran the gamut from one end to the other. Many were in that ballpark and some were a good deal above. It seemed like many of them were willing to make deals.

We've never stayed in Windsor Hills before but it seems like a lot of positive feedback here on the boards - we cannot wait to go!:cool1:

If anybody is interested, we stayed in a 5BR/4BA in Sunset Lakes just before Christmas (left Christmas Eve). It had a screened pool and backed up the lake. Sunset Lakes is also a gated community. It had a game room in the garage too. I negotiated a rate of $100 a night with the owner (who was very nice).

It was a very nice house but not Disney themed if that's important to you. We were very close to AK (went to AKL for breakfast one morning at Boma - always great!).

If you are interested in it, PM me, and I'll send you the contact info.

This is where we are staying in a few weeks. 5 bedroom/4 baths, hot tub, pool, game room and all the amenities for $625/week. It's in Indian Creek, 3 miles from Disney property, 10-15 minutes from the parks. It ended up being $807 for 8 nights with taxes.

I booked a 6 bedroom home in Windsor Hills last week using Evergreen Florida Vacation Homes. I found the home using vbro and then emailed the owner for a quote. The quote was amazingly low, we are staying 7 nights, and they gave us the 7th night free. I paid under $1000 for a week in November. That's less than a 5 bedroom I had been looking at in another neighborhood further away.

I looked for some reviews before booking and couldn't find much, so hopefully it will work out ok.

We just booked a 4bdrm 3 bath house in Indian Creek for $722 for next August...That was the best price I could find!

mareSINY, do you have a link to the house you stayed at, or an email to get a quote from the owner? Thanks :)
