My former $60 Hojo is asking $120+ for the same room December 14-17th..

Is there a cheaper hotel comparable in quality with no bed bugs and maybe a view of Disneyland?

I would try the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites. It is usually the cheapest of the walking hotels.

Try Park Vue Inn, but I like Tropicana better. Another option, too, is the Ramada Inn Maingate.

i'll be doing red roof inn anaheim maingate. less than a 10 minute walk to the park (5 depending on how fast you walk). it's fairly decently priced.

Desert Inn & Suites is $59 if you go directly to their website. Its got an indoor pool and free brekkie. Right across the street. Nothing special, but its clean.

I love the Tropicana, its closer than the HoJo and generally cheaper.

For this weekend: Desert Inn $109; Tropicana $139; Anaheim Plaza $89

WE've stayed twice at the Tropicana. AND, they have zip covers on all their mattresses. This is too help keep them clean and keep the bugs out. Call them and ask them about it. I have never heard of bed bugs at the Tropicana. And they are right across the street with good prices.

Check out travelocity. I just got an email from them yesterday about several cheap hotels in Orange County.

We like the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites, although did you try for the Ent rate at Hojo's?

Has anyone stayed in the Residence Inn Maingate?

We did and we loved it. We walked everyday and it only took us about 10 min. (that was with 5 kids in tow!! LOL!!) so you could probably do it quicker.

we just came back from our trip, we stayed at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel and there was no bedbugs (I checked the very first night - the mattresses were very clean and looked new, no bedbugs or marks), I think we paid about $67 per night and it's about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the main gate.

We love to stay at the Residence Inn Maingate! In fact, when we don't stay on site, this is where we like to stay! Great cooked-to-order breakfasts, manager's receptions in the evening, suites with two t.v.s (a t.v. not showing cartoons! :cool1: ), great people, clean, pretty close to DL (but we do drive because of AP parking pass) and overall good place to hang out after the resort closes.

There was another thread on here a few weeks ago about the Park Vue Inn, the majority of the reviews were not good.
