Hi,
Just wondering where the cheapest place is for flights to Orlando next July (2007).
Been quoted £599, does this sound OK?
Not bothered whether we have to connect or if it's direct, as long as we get there
Any advice would be great....................

Hi Vizeman

I see you are a fellow Reds fan, good man, I was lucky enough to be at the cup final in May (albeit in the middle of the hammers fans)

Anyway, I forgot what I was going to say.........................

Oh yes, we are booking for July next year and have had a great price from Virgin for 3 weeks at Port Orleans for 2 adults and 3 kids. I would be interested in hearing if your price for flights plus accom brekas down cheaper, I cannot seem to beat the price from Virgin.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve, YNWA.
Didn't get to the FA cup final this year unfortunately, but managed to get to Istanbul last year, that was awesome :cool1:
Anyway back to the point, we've actually booked a private villa so acommodation is sorted. It's just the flights we are after.
Virgin Atlantic was actually over £800.00 each, way too high.
From what I've managed to find out £600 seems to be a pretty good price, but I'll keep looking.
Take It Easy
:thumbsup2

From my own experience flydrives usually work out to be cheaper than flights on their own :sunny:

Hi
You are too early to book majority of scheduled flights, you cant book until 11 months from your return date.
Do you have any Virgin frquent flyer points? if you do see this thread of mine, but as I said too early yet. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1158190
Would you be willing to drive or fly to Glasgow? Flyglobespan should have flights from around £325 (they had last time I looked).
TCD might have something but I prefer scheduled.
Good luck.

We were singing at Cardiff, "Where were you in Istanbul...."
I met Clemence, Ronnie Whelan, Aldo loads, it was amazing, but Istanbul must have been truely incredible....

I must be the only person who seems to find the full packaged holiday cheaper. I have got, flying from Manchester (booooooo!) 12/July/07 for 3 weeks staying at Port Orleans Resort 2 adults 3 kids (10 8 and 3) total price 4069.25, which I think is pretty good, so I am puzzled as to how booking flights/accom seperately ever works out cheaper.

Off for a drop of Scrumpy Cider!

Hic!

Steve

It depends if you get a good price on your package(free child places etc.)
This is what we have booked this Aug thru school holiday (most expensive weeks of the year) for 3 Adults
BMI flights £987
Marriott hotel £640
Full size Car £510 (Platinum Insurance)
4 night Royal Caribbean Cruise £567

Total £2704 for 25 nights Knock the cruise off and its £2137
No way could we get a package for £712 each
Personally I would not stay in a Disney Hotel again but I know a lot of people do.

I got flights with Thomas Cook for £329 each flying from Gatwick on 22nd June to 6th July

Check out Flyglobespan.com - they were by far the cheapest for our trip in October this year.

... and can we leave the football out of it ? I've been a West Ham fan for 40 years and the cup final still hurts !

OK OK, I'll not mention the football

Right here's an update. Just booked with "American Specialists" (used them twice before) and they've got 6 of us on a Thomas Cook flight going from Manchester on the 14th July 2007 for 3 weeks, cost £599 per person.
Considering this is peak time I'm quite happy with that price. I think they get allocated seats before they are released to the public so they are able to sell them sooner
As for accommodation we've booked a private villa in Indian Creek for £1050 (same one we used in 2005), this is a superb location and a great price.
Also booked an 8 seater minivan for £199 per week, this includes all insurances and 2 drivers (no petrol).

Total £5241.00

or £873.50 per person

we're happy with that

Try typing 'cheap walt disney world' into a search engine and you'll find plenty of companies offering cheap flights.

Hi Vizeman :cool1:

Would be interested to find out where you booked your van - we're looking at going again next year, and will book all the elements separately, as with six of us thats been the best way price wise, but I know that we paid a fair bit more than that for our hire last time for the same size vehicle.

Thanks in advance
