DD is going to Buena Vista Urgent Care tomorrow to have an infected bug bite on her knee drained. :crazy2:
Oh and did I mention - she has no insurance.:scared:

So where do you think she could go to get her rx filled - close and cheap? I was thinking Wal-Mart but that's a lot of walking on that knee I think.

I'm not in Orlando yet so I'm not sure where she should go. However, has she looked into going to Centra Care clinic? They will pick her up. I have read a lot of people on here talk about using them.

yes. We did look into that but they wanted $230 and Buena Vista U.C. only wants $100. Plus, I've had people recommend B.V.U.C.

Walgreens and Walmart both offer 4$ generics on certain drugs. Also at walgreens you can get a prescription discount card for 30$. That's what I ended up doing when I was without insurance. If you go to the website they list the different drugs and you can price them in advance. Does your daughter have anyone who can drive her to walgreens? It's right down the street from Chatham. It seems like I was constantly sick once my insurance expired...I empathize with your daughter! :goodvibes

I had bronchitis twice while on the CP and got my prescriptions filled at the Publix by SeaWorld (its about 20-25 mins away) since thats the only nearby Publix with a pharmacy.

I would try Wal*Mart as well.

Publix is really over priced with their groceries and I expect their prescriptions are the same way. I say go to Walmart....they have a bus and benches to sit on while you wait...

Walgreens is fairly close for walking, but there is a bus for Walmart. And from what I heard Publix isn't terrible prescription-wise.

I had to go to the Publix since that was the only place my insurance would let me go and get the same copay. If I went elsewhere it would have been higher.

But for convenience sake, go to Wal*Mart, its probably the cheaper way to go.

I didn't use my insurance while in Disney (didn't want them knowing I wasn't a FT student) and I got my prescription filled at Walmart for when I got bronchitis. It wasn't too expensive from what I recall. There is a bus to Walmart from the apartments.
