Cheapest/ closest hotel at Miami?

Cruising out of Miami early next year and looking for the cheapest accommodations available out of the closest options to the airport. I'm flying in from Canada the night before embarkation. Thanks for any help!

Ive never stayed at airport. Prefer closer to port or south beach. But Look for special deals in Expedia or booking.com.

Red Roof inn near the airport, not the greatest but convenient location. Habitat residence near the Port, a bit more expensive than the usual crappy motel for cheap price, BUT it is much nicer and definitely affordable. Im with cedric here, south beach is much more preferred.
