Cheapest but clean/safe hotel by disneyland?

I don't know if they are getting more expensive or not. The last booking I made for Stanford inn was for Jan/feb 2016, this is the booking I got for $69 a night. I also book quite a way in advance, so maybe that's the reason I always find a great deal.

IMO, $120 is still good for Stanford. The room and all the added extras are definitely worth it. Yes, it's quite a ways away but ART is my friend and for someone who would rather spend my money on souvenirs and food, rather than fancy accommodation, it's perfect.

We're not going again until January 2017, so I've just been putting in hypothetical dates. I've tried a lot of different dates and all have been over $100. Same thing with the QIS, where we always paid less than $80/night before. I just discovered that Stanford has a cool calendar though if you're dates are flexible and shows rates like an airline. The lowest price they list for all winter/spring is $107 only on Feb 20. It isn't until August 21 that rates drop below $100. Ten months out is pretty far in advance to get a low price. Usually 4 months out has been good for us. Dates go until mid-October next year and never drop below $85. That is for the suite though, so it's not a bad deal. It just seems like prices are rising. Maybe they'll drop though with so many people saying they won't visit with the train closed and river drained.

ETA: ART is an additional expense that I consider when booking a hotel. It's also an added pain. So when I have to buy tickets to use ART and then have to deal with the pain of using ART, sometimes I decide it's not worth $10/night saved on a hotel. For $120 a night, we could stay at The Desert Inn across the street in their executive room (sleeps 6), or pay $10 more an get a suite. No ART tickets to buy and no waiting, however they also have about $15 of added fees per night that I'd have to consider. I'm just wondering if it's going to be harder and harder to find rooms for less than $100/night.

Note: The $120/night is the cost of either hotel for the week of January 4, 2016. We hope to visit that same week in 2017. Obviously I could likely get either hotel for less if we booked further in advance, as we probably will.

That's good to hear. We have a trip booked next month and staying at this Super 8 as well. Saw similar reviews to yours about this place so hoping we will like it too. I'd rather spend the extra money that would've been used for a nicer hotel for DL fun things instead :)

We have stayed here at least 5 times and it'd always clean and comftorable. I always recommend it to everyone. In fact..thinking of booking it for a last minute " we don't have Thanksgiving plans let's go to DL" LOL.

We went on February for the first time. We stayed at best Western park place inn. I think we paid around $100/night. It includes a generic breakfast, which is nothing to write home about but all I need is coffee and a piece of fruit. You are literally right across the street from the entrance. The room was fine. It was quite and clean, which is all I care about. I booked it after reading about it on here. My husband wasnt thrilled by the idea of a best Western, but when we go to wdw we stay at values since we aren't going to hang in the room. So, we took the same attitude here and I will absolutely stay there again and recommend it.

We just stayed at the Quality Inn on Manchester and liked it fine, it was within walking distance and was less than 100.00 a night. I think we paid 725.00 for 8 nights with a AAA rate over Labor Day weekend. I canceled the first half of that long reservation, initially 12 days, and booked at the Tropicana instead for the first 4. They had empty rooms and super low prices trying to fill them last minute so I took advantage. The Alpine Inn is another smaller place but it is within walking distance and regularly under 100.00 a night. Sometimes I look at the Hotel Tonight app just to see who has availability last minute and the 2 Ramada's usually do, at around 100.00 per night.

We just got back from a stay at the Super 8 on Katella (the one near DL, not the one on DL Drive). This was a "budget" trip for me this time. I booked 3 nights through Travelocity (using Ebates as well) for $230.00. The hotel was about a 3/4 mile walk. ART stops there if you want to use it...we always walked though without any issues (2 females) or feeling unsafe. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. The rate also includes free parking and a free continental breakfast.

This is one of our "really on a budget" places too. Very clean, roomy, and less than $75/night usually.

Where do you put a promo code?

I knew someone would ask...

On the checkout screen there's a place just above the "Reserve Your Room" Submit button.
See attachment, you can enter the code and click "Apply" to see discount before reserving room.

We are staying at Motel 6 Anaheim Maingate November 22-28th. This is our 3rd Stay. Not a bad walk, but they have ART (Anaheim Resort Transit). But note it is a Motel 6 and not a 5 star hotel.

Other hotels we have stayed at are the Castle Inn and Suites, Courtyard Anaheim Convention Center and Fairfield Inn.

Lol we are back and tried motel 6 for 2 days.... Ended up with a car full of ants and a room that was VERY humid and no one could sleep (the beds were hard as well, we like them softer). We also had long black hairs all over the place when we got there that i kept picking up with wet tp.
We decided it was worth it to spend more for us to be able to sleep. Everyone was so tired on day 3.
Switching for us was a great option, we got an awesome firework view and had very comfy and clean rooms. :) i dont know if the humidity bugged us more since we are from a desert where we dont get much or what but one person showered and that humidity never went away even when we opened doors at 11 and 12 at night (there was no fan to help, not sure if all rooms are that way) so no one else took one for days.

Thanks for the help guys, we will look into the others next time. Hopefully we will have more notice next time so can look around more :)

I'm sorry you had such a bad room. I too wouldn't have stayed in that room that just sounds dirty gross and to hard of beds. I am sorry you had such bad time there but will make sure never stay there or tell others too stay there place again to any one else.

Sign up for lastminutetravel they usually offer a discount code to become a member and they tell you the name of the hotel and I've gotten nice hotels for cheap.

I'm sorry you had a bad room also, I am in the camp that a bad room ruins my trip. I would much rather stay further out and have a room that I am comfortable in. Hopefully next time you have better luck.

I just wanted to say thanks for reporting back on how your stay was! I have often debated staying at that Motel 6. I think we'll probably pass on it.

That's a bummer you had a bad stay! We stay there a lot and have never had that experience. I am staying there this weekend. Hoping things haven't gone down hill since my last stay. We have always enjoyed our stay there and the last one in February was the best! We had a huge room!!

Thanks guys! It was worth a shot. Like i said humidity may not be as noticeable to some... Or maybe lots of the rooms have fans? I am not sure, but for us it just didnt work. Being a cheapskate thought, it was worth a shot.

I did see the marriott on lmt.com for 100 but i couldnt find it again after we decided to change places :) i probably shoulda jumped on that!! (The same days on their site they were asking 269 for the same room)

I just thought their website was glitching lol

Anywho hope the review helps some. We were on the 3rd floor and the guy did say he was giving us a good room when i told him it was our first time etc....

Oh, They also overcharged me 100 bucks that i am still trying to get back. I will probably have to go through my bank as motel 6 keeps referring me to an email and no one has responded to my emails. I do get the confirmation one saying it was received... But thats all.

make sure you print up any emails you have saying the right price vs what they are trying to charge you good luck

We have stayed at Clarion and park vue inn, I would not stay at Clarion again but LOVED PVI I had also considered Stanford for our last trip and this next trip but PVI was closer last time and we got a King with bunk beds at the new homewood suites this next trip for 149/night so something always keeps us from trying stanford

Yeah, we have tried the ART and decided it is worth paying a little more to be closer to the parks and avoid the hassle and time waste of waiting for the bus.

As far as good hotel rates go, if someone is staying for 5 nights or more, the Tropicanna will knock $25 dollars/night off the price.

I was wondering about the Best Westerns with the free breakfast, has anyone stayed at these, how are they?

I was wondering about the Best Westerns with the free breakfast, has anyone stayed at these, how are they?

I've stayed at pavilions before for a honeymoon back in 2010 and well it's not a actual Full breakfast it's more of a grab and go but it was decent.

I hear really positive things about Best Western stovalls Inn on these boards.

I know Best Western Park Place and is one of the favored motels on these boards. I believe they have a few hot items as well as the typical continental fair and while it's not five star it's enough to get you going in the morning.

Well not as well-known I'll be staying at the Anaheim Inn The first week in December and they also offer a complementary breakfast. If you go into the search bar and type in the different motels you can usually find the threads or reviews. I also use trip advisor but I also use that very loosely as people tend to nitpick over the smallest things on there

In regards to the hotels themselves well motels I should say I've never had a bad experience with any of the best westerns in Anaheim or anywhere else to be honest. I think it's a really great motel chain and I've been very happy with them
