We are doing our xmas holiday diy and need some advice on where to get the best deals via the web.
We need a 4 door full size.
we don't have a cc which gives good insurance deals but need to be all inclusive cover ( does that make sense.?)
I looked at Yes car rental website and was quoted £345 for 14 days silver package is this good/expensive?
hope you can help

Try Alamo. They are quoting £338 for a fullsize for your dates.

Alamo.co.uk

Use rate code 78 when asked for it, the box is towarsd the bottom left of the first reservations infopage.

The insurance included is adequate, no extra is needed according to Alamo, though the cover is only 3rd party apparently, along with CDW. If you want/need supplementary liability cover, that will run you another £ 100 or so.

Are you sure the quote for Yes includes supplementary cover ? If it does, thats one very good quote !

Hope this helps !

Hi there,

Floridavehiclehire.co.uk are quoting £329 for a 4 dr full size over the christmas period with good insurance cover.

Lin,

Does it have to be a full size its just that sunstyle are doing a great winter rate of £129 per week but it only applies upto intermediate size.

The Airline Network site is offering an Intermediate 4-door for £335 during that period with Dollar. That includes FULL Insurance. Beejayjay is right that Alamo offers sufficient i.e. minimal insurance.

I very nearly went with Alamo but the insurance package from Dollar swung it their way.

What's their site address, please?

Sounds pretty good to me, I might be cancelling Dollar at this rate!!

Thanks...just checked it out. Still cheaper for us to use Dollar at that time of year.

We've got an Intermediate 4-door for £311. that includes Platinum Cover ( full tank of fuel + any driver ) on top of the usual full insurance cover SLI, CDW $1m etc.etc.) The Full size was £324 with Platinum....but the Intermediate is plenty big enough for the four of us.

Many thanks anyway

mike

I tried both Yes and Florida Vehicle Hire - Yes were £3 cheaper, FVH were a quid dearer.

I Think I'll stick with Alamo and their handy error in my favour for now, but I've got those two in my favourites now !

Thanks guys.

would it be worth my while getting a Nat west cc to take advantage of the cost of car insurance.
Does it have to be a gold card?
