IT used to be cheaper to buy passes online, but I can't find out if that is the case anymore. Anyone know? if it isn't cheaper, I am just going to buy them there.

It no longer is cheaper to buy them online ahead of time direct from Disney. Other vendors may offer slight discounts. The disadvantage in buying parkhopper passes at the ticket booths is that you don't get an early entry. That only comes with pre-purchase. If you don't care about early entry, then that won't be a factor for you.

Also, if you buy online from Disney. You don't have to wait at the ticket boothes. You go straight to the turnstyles. Sometimes the lines at the boothes can take awhile.

Are you certain of that? I was under the impression that MM came with any 3 day or longer hopper, regardless of where it was purchased.

Yes. I remember they discussed it on one of the Dis podcasts. Also, here is what the disneyland.com website says:

Magic Morning at Disneyland Park
Magic Morning at Disneyland Park is only available for Guests who:

ETA: There are also some special types of advance purchase park hopper tickets that may not come with early entry. I believe I read that some kinds of military parkhoppers don't include the MM for example.

Good to know, thanks! I can't see where I wouldn't purchase in advance, but you never know!

We buy ours from Orbitz if they're running a special. I can save $44 on 2 adult & 1 child 5-day park hopper ticket right now. And I'll get some money back if I go through E-bates first. I'll have to wait in line with the voucher to get our tickets at the gate but that's ok.

If you subscribe to mousesavers you get a discount on all tickets. You can PM me if you want the link, not sure whether I can post that here anymore but they are very reliable and they also show other discounts. I'm buying my tickets from there and they also state that there is one MM with every 3 to 5 day PHs. After Disboards, Mousesavers is one of the places I always go to for WDW or DL trip planning. HTH:):)

Exactly what I just did.

Do they have date restrictions? I'm going next year but willing to get these now if they have no expiration on when to start using them. We're going in July 2016. I saw some on Expedia but they were good until Dec. 31, 2015, that's why I ask.

I just played around with it on Orbitz and it looks like it will let you book tickets out through May 2nd, 2016 as of today. I would imagine July dates will open up in a couple months from now.

I think they do probably expire since Disney did away with tickets that don't expire. It looks like it will let you put in a month worth of time to order them for. Those dates do get printed on your voucher. Because I was afraid of winter weather the last time we went, I waited till I think it was 5 days before our trip to purchase the voucher when I was more certain we'd actually make it there. This would be a good inclusion with your trip insurance though if you're afraid of not making it for a covered reason. Or if the peace of mind is worth the savings, it would be best just to wait and purchase the tickets when you arrive.
