Cheaper alternative to buying Harry Potter robes at Universal?

Hi all!

New to the boards, but my little ones have fallen in love with all things Potter (finally) and we hope to go to Universal this summer.
Instead of paying $160 for a house robe for each of them, I'd love to find a way to sew one myself OR buy a good quality one from another source.

Anyone have any ideas?

Try Amazon.
However, you might want to talk to your kids as robes on a hot summer day sound awful. :)

They'd want to wear them at least in the mornings (which is why I don't want to spend too much if they'll end up in my backpack as of 11:00am). ;)

Oh I have to tell you, they are very good quality. My son got his when he was 7 (I think) and apart from the fact that his size XXXS robe is now pretty much at his knees, it still looks very nice (the shoulders still fit, and he's getting broad man-type shoulders) and is in perfect condition. He has worn it nearly every Halloween, and this Halloween a friend of his (who is 7) wore it to 5 different Halloween functions and even got it in the rain and it still looks like perfection. The quality is astonishing. I'm a cheapskate, but if he ever decides that he wants a new robe, I'm getting another from Universal. Absolutely.

(Now the only issue is if they change houses as they grow up. If they are little they probably want Gryffindor b/c they haven't seen all the movies or read all the books to know the good parts of other houses. And they might change allegiances as they grow.)

Update: Found out a family member (who's also a theatre coach in a high school) is going to make some for us! They'll be custom sized and everything. Rejoice!
