Cheap Rental Cars for September!

Looking to see if anyone has codes for Rental Cars for our trip in September. How far away from your trip do you rent?

I wait until about 60 days out and start looking. I have always booked a reservation, then did priceline about 48 hours prior bidding 22$ for a minivan...I always get it, then I cancel other reservation.

Do you happen to know which rental agencies Priceline uses at MCO?

We usually get National, there has been one other (don't remember). I will say that we were never off site (not sure if that was pure luck or if it is typical).

Last year we went in September. Rates were really high the months before the trip, I think I booked a intermediate for 250 for the 9 days on National or Alamo. Then as the trip got about a month away Alamo came down to 197 w/ the costco code. I checked mousesavers and just tried every car code and agency I could. The September before we rented for 130 for 9 days, rates went up last year as fleets got smaller. We have rented from Alamo and National and like them the best, but Dollar was also good. Hotwire about a month out is also a good bet, all of their car companies are in the airport.

Thank you for this information. We looked a week ago and it was very cheap and this week is went up about $100. I guess we will wait till late summer.
